Great result for us in a shit game. I don't envy Tranmere, if they do go down and it's looking very likely they will, then I only hope they spend as little down there as possible. We served our sentence down there and it was fucking awfull.

I think there was a bit of an edge between fans tonight.

There were some tranmere fans behind the goal really looking for trouble and it was pretty unfortunate - you hurt at times like this - I know - been there done that. Any stags fan only needs to remember back to Rotherham when we lost 1-0 and there was a riot at field mill when the chairman at the time got knocked unconscious - whether some are old enough to remember back then, it wasn't big and it wasn't clever - the grief that comes with probably going down is awful.

The relality is for whoever of the 3 that go down, they've no idea how bad the conference is - absolutely no clue - think as bad as you can and it'll be twice as bad.

The difference between a loss and something more for tranmere was their ability upfront which was abysmal (we should know all about that).

That hartlepool didn't win when many expected them to is at least a little caveat to the evening

Nah, there was a lad in a blue coat who was giving it the big one and was being a dick from the off. Got a bit bouysterous and then took it too far and caused it. Our police are pretty useless, that we know. But the lad was being a dick and deserves a night in the cells for being a retard. In a match like this fans should have been concentrating on the football rather than making themsevles look daft, which that lad did with some aplomb

I got a good view of the lad in the blue coat that caused the scuffles in te first place, yeah. Quite a few out of fans were laughing at him and it was bloody brilliant when he got took away, what a dick.

As for the kid, I didn't see that of course, but that group of lads by the fences were blantently looking for trouble, pushing over fences and standing the whole game, not that it excuses it (if it happened) but what was a 12 year old doing in there jn the first place, a responsible adult would have ensured the kid was as far away as possible from that.

I can agree with this, although it may of just been bad luck. I understand every team has some idiots within their fanbase, just happens that I have encountered Mansfields idiots twice this season!

One thing I've never seen though is 15/20 Mansfield fans on top of a copper throwing punches. I wouldn't even call those at the front fans, All during the game they were there walking up to the Main stand goading the home fans. I take that as banter but this lot obviously wanted a fight. Feel for the Tranmere fans as the Conference is a horrible place, They need to beat Oxford otherwise they will experience it next season. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. All clubs have a set of idiots Lordjord, and That includes Northampton. I recall both our fans fighting outside Six Seats last season so no wonder both sets of 'lads' were out in force for both fixtures this season. Bar abit of a scuffle at your place though I can't recall of anything major kicking off?

Anyway, If we are going to mention the bad I'd like to point out the Tranny fans I spoke to in our bar before all seemed decent people. We each shook hands after a few beers and wished both sides well.

The game? Shite, No quality on show whatsoever but I didn't expect anything less in a game like that. Thought we worked harder than we have all season though, That was very pleasing to see.
