Blackburn please.

We missed playing them when we got promoted to the Prem, as they got relegated. The year we came down, they went back up.

Ewood Park has a big away end, and would see us take a few thousand.

Although, tbh, I'd be happy with any of them - but Blackburn would be the least threat.

Blackburn please. Been to the other two and I can see them being a bigger threat next season. Blackburn are in a bit of a mess and could easily have a season like Charlton have had, or worse.

Probably Forest. Blackburn is no different to Wigan or Bolton so not exactly an interesting trip, although I've not been to Ewood Park. Birmingham I've been to and it's a rough, rough area (yes I know, Gillingham is too), but Forest is a good away trip. I think any of them would challenge for the top though - Bolton were supposed in the shit when they came down and they still did it, so can't write Blackburn off.

Birmingham.

The sacking of Rowett was ridiculous, they deserve relegation.
Redknapp won't get his bonus.
Easy and quick to get to, decent city centre for boozing.
Don't necessarily think they'll bounce straight back.

Think it will be Blackburn, hope not as have been there 7 times and have lost 5 of them. Other than the pies it's bit of a naff away day.

Wouldn't be that disappointed with Forest, decent away trip and love the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest please.
Lovely city, great pubs, decent people and a nice stadium too.
Probably stay over and make a weekend of it depending on when it is played, Mrs. BFC likes the place, so a chance of brownie points.
What's not to like?
(Apart from the 90 minutes on the pitch obviously! )

I wouldn't be overly disappointed whoever comes down but want Blackburn, been to the other two and as others have said they could struggle initially

Whatever league we end up in I want to play Blackburn.

Local and I've never seen us play them competitively. As alluded to previously, when we've swapped divisions its invariably been at the same time as them.

But Birmingham should go down, purely for sacking Rowett. Madness.

Rotherham, Wigan and Blackburn. Grim.

Proper northern thread until this excellent post. Completely indistinguishable from Wigan as an away trip, and they already got relegated with absolutely no fanfare. Thank God we only have to deal with Doncaster from L2.

Forest and Blackburn both totally deserved their wins, no idea about Brum as there's wasn't on the box. Thrilled to be having games against another Greater Manchester outpost though, we don't have enough of those in this league....

Odds on Carlisle or Blackpool up from League Two? To be honest they're all pretty unappealing, but at least Luton is close-ish.

Took the words from my mouth.

Never has there been three more uninspiring relegations from The Championship.

What about last year? ;)

At least there was a day out in the smoke for most.

If I had to pick three teams I did not want to come down it would have been Blackburn, Wigan and Rotherham! Only good thing is I wouldn't be surprised if none of them are challenging at the top next season.

Agreed, and three pretty uninspiring stadiums as well. Blackburn is the least worst.

They're not bad grounds are they? Rotherham was a decent little new build, and Wigan and Blackburns look alright from what I've seen, just mostly empty like most grounds in this league.

Think it's great news for clubs who will be challenging promotion next season as Forest and Birmingham would have bought their way out the division in the first attempt like Wolves did but i can see Blackburn having a few seasons in the league to get back up.

Fantastic news, another local game and definitely the weakest of the three teams fighting on the last day coming down. Hopefully Blackpool get themselves up from League Two. I'll make the Lancashire thread when the fixtures come out next month. Will hopefully be seven of us in there.

Bloody 7 of you lot?! Christ.....That's before you consider the fun we're going to have with Donny v The Millers on here too....Potentially a Devon derby if Exeter make it up, and I'm sure Oxford will find someone to have an argument with now Swindon have departed - maybe Bristol Rovers chaps?

Could be lively in here next season.

Oxford will still argue with Northampton fans over who was the best team in league 2.
