Enjoyed the program, that one in the early 80s was horrific!!!

We hate Aston VillaBirmingham has the support of Warwickshire? News to me...
The rule of thumb is that blues are south brum and villa are north brum. I don't live in Birmingham, but I've worked all over the city and I see far more villa shirts than I do blues. I cannot answer your question as I'm not from the city, but do you honestly think blues are the main club in brum? I'd say it was a pretty equal split regarding support. Like I said though I see far more villa shirts. We know north Birmingham is Villa territory. What other areas of Birmingham are predominantly Villa?
You're just irrelevant. We hate Aston Villa
I remember drinking in Harborne a few years back after we played Chelsea. Was in the centre to start with which was all villa by the way, then went out to Harborne to meet someone. Was in this pub and there was about 5 blues playing pool. Next thing you know about 15 villa came in and kicked the fuck out of them. I recognised one face as being a main face at villa. It was well out of order I thought. Plenty of times when villa have been picked off by your lot though, but two wrongs don't make a right. The only real time I’ve felt I was in Villa country was a night in Perry Barr, in a pub called The Tennis Courts, 3 of us Blues lads randomly attacked by about twenty blokes, later learnt it was down to my Blues pendant hanging out my jumper....it was about two weeks after the Enckleman incident though so fair play![]()
Thought I'd try and divert the embarrassment of the coachesI definitely get under VL's skin more than twice a year(getting the coaches excuse in nice and early though, kudos
)
Big group of our lot, Blues & Villa, meeting at our local pub in half hour for a couple of hours of amicable drinking before we then go our separate ways and I fucking despise any sight of the pink & baby blue rats.
I'm not confident and would take a draw now, the only thing we have that could cause them problems is the pace going forward, but people have been on about putting pace up against JT for years and he seems to have still managed a decent career out of it (he'll DEFINITELY score today).
Any neutral tuning into the game, with an ounce of working class minerals about them, will be cheering for the poor working mans club trying to stand toe to toe with Lord Snooty and his billions of pounds buying any player that's ever scored a brace in the league.
For the people, Keep Right On
And always, always, Shit On The Villa.
There has been some very dull games and the police are trying their best to kill the Derby day feel, but there has been some cracking games over the years. When it's good it's explosive. It's just as expensive in the championship. Those threads don't stop being a great read. It's great that we have such a massive community of match-going fans in the English lower leagues especially since I reckon not even 5 posters attend Prem games on a regular basis (it has its cost I grant you but going to a Championship ain't free either). Very interesting information being written in this thread.
This game is on the box so I'll give this a watch. Those are generally a tedious watch but great atmosphere. I can't promise I'll watch the whole game but I'll give it a try. Hopefully, they'll be a few goals nice and early in the contest.
Don't really care who wins. I like both clubs. I must get up to Birmingham after Russia. A place I've never been and so many grounds to do!
I heard they will get a packed lunch and a complimentary balloon when they board the coach from Staffordshire, Worcestershire & Somerset. Will the villa fans get a free clapper on their seats![]()
Don't knock the balloons mate. I remember us at Anfield in the early 90s for a cup game. 6k villa and thousands of balloons coming from our end,it was a wonderful sight. We played in yellow shirts that day. Sold out yet?I heard they will get a packed lunch and a complimentary balloon when they board the coach from Staffordshire, Worcestershire & Somerset.
62 left in the Gil Merrick and a few singles dotted around in the Family Stand.Sold out yet?
Totally agree that it was a poor crowd. Should of been 40k there. Thing is you struggle to sell out a reduced capacity for our games at your place let alone having 34k there.62 left in the Gil Merrick and a few singles dotted around in the Family Stand.
Bad but not 8,000 bad when we played you at Villa Park in the League Cup.
