Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
As horrible as this sounds as a Carlisle fan that Carlisle vs Morecambe game has all the markings of a Carlisle dominated game with Carlisle having numerous chances missing everything then Morecambe nick a goal with their only actual attack……I mean both teams are sh*te and in reality it should be an awful match but I just see that horrible scrappy stolen away win.

Got to go out and score first 20 minutes for me Carlisle.

I think post number 3 has the wrong games listed - Cheltenham are playing Crewe, not Notts County

Cloudy is a Grimsby fan as well

Apparently there is a sickness bug within the club (used as the excuse why we were sh1t at Swindon, and boy were we sh1t). If that has cleared up I expect a home win against Harrogate this time, something we've struggled to do since 'for ever'! We also seem to struggle when we have a big home crowd and Boxing Day will see our biggest home crowd for some time.

Don't read into our league position. We had a lot of 0-1 scorelines that could easily have gone the other way. We don't look like scoring and despite your fans saying how shit you are, you'll no doubt turn into prime Barcelona against us, as seems to be the way.

Can see us losing comfortably to be honest.

Our only saving grace is that it’s at Valley Parade.

We’ve only lost once in 9, winning 5 of them.

It’s been said countless times before, but I’d much rather play Vale in 2nd than say Morecambe at home tomorrow.

GK: Sam Walker

CB: Aden Baldwin
CB: Paul Huntington
CB: Ciarán Kelly

RWB: Jay Benn
LWB: Lewis Richards

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Antoni Sarcevic

ST: Andy Cook
AM: Jamie Walker
ST: Calum Kavanagh

Need a big performance.

If we can somehow win our next two home games (Vale and Chesterfield), all of a sudden we’re back in the play-offs, on the edge of the autos. As shit as we’ve been away from home this season, our fans need to have some perspective.

Well we would have scored far more if Stockley didn’t keep wasting chances when he gets them like at Gillingham and that header in the Carlisle game. Should at least be hitting the target. And don’t get me started on that Chislett one on one.

Undeniable we are a boring team to watch though. It’s DM’s way though so I guess he’s staying true to it. Don’t lose many but just a run of our results for some time it reads like binary code.

For me I’d go for this one

Ripley
Sang Heneghan Hall
Clark Byers Croasdale John
Richards
Stockley Tolaj

Grant in place of Byers if he can’t play as someone who can at least pass a ball.

It looked to be a decent time to be playing Fleetwood on paper, but now we could be playing a team with new manager bounce. I know loads going to this, on the piss in Blackpool before, bit gutted to be missing it.
Shame they’ve sacked their manager but we’ve gotta be looking to beat them based on form alone. Early start, few beers in Blackpool and on we go

Forgot you had Ripley, he had a solid record for us of played 1, conceded 5.

Although I've only seen them once I'm very confident that they won't.

As we all remember prime Barca had an elite midfield trio. The Bantams do not. It's the sort of midfield you want to come up against week in week out.

Can outdo you there. On his debut for us he conceded 7. To be fair he’s been pretty good this season one howler against Colchester aside.

If I can get it wrong while tired and inebriated I will.

And yep, sadly, it shows Grimsby have yet to secure a League win over Harrogate.

That is a truly dreadful record against MK. I knew it was poor but 12 defeats to 1 win is appalling.

Sadly, I don't think Grimsby need to worry about that statistic. We have lost 4 in a row and worse we have only scored 1 goal in those matches. Something has to change or our unlikely 5 year tenure in the league will be over.

Exactly this. There's clearly a half decent side there at Bradford and we're in a stinker in terms of performance. We do seem to encounter teams that play 'really well' against us too. Unless that's just opposition managers.

Just like we came away from Sheffield Wednesday in their promotion season in league 1, scratching our heads as to how on earth they were near the top....You'll come away on Boxing day wondering how on earth we were top of the league for 2 months and still 2nd. I'm still baffled...I don't think we've played well yet.

Swindon at home. No clue. They're improving but we have Omar Bugiel back from suspension. Even if he doesn't score, he's prominent for us.

Walsall away, home win banker.
Let’s hope not, not to be negative when we are doing well this season but even with the convincing win on Saturday I don’t think we’ve really hit it off too much recently although we should have had 5 Saturday..the general performances recently tend to follow that pattern of sluggish starts and I felt Tranmere were the better team for the first 20/30 without creating anything of much note. With a lot of people expecting us to finish top 3 this season I feel we have to find that consistency and clinical edge in front of goal to maintain where we are otherwise we will fall abit eventually. Really good test Walsall away, I expect us to be well in this game but can’t afford to be wasteful like on Saturday.

We simply have to beat Morecambe at home tomorrow. No, it won’t mathematically relegate us if we don’t, but I believe if we can’t beat a relegation rival at home, it will sap any hope out of the whole club and fanbase and we’ll be as good as down. Huge game.

I hope the players are up for it, but I do not trust them one bit. I think morecambe will come here and give absolutely everything, they’ll scrap and fight and will turn us over.

Carlisle United 1-2 Morecambe

A big nail hammered into our relegation coffin.

I’m not being negative, just realistic. The way Walsall set up is exactly the style we struggle against. We beat Tranmere but you can’t say it was a good performance, passing was poor, decision making was poor and we are still wasting very good chances.

Unlikely we will get a new manager bounce tomorrow against Chesterfield who have really acquited themselves well in their first year in this league
We are certainly (over) due a win but might have to wait a bit longer. Hopefully 1/2 more senior players might make an appearance but a draw will be a good result, take your pick 0-0, 1-1 2-2...

I don’t feel you are being negative, Walsall are favourites. Saturday was an ok performance but we weren’t at our best, if we were clinical it would have been 5-1. We have more than enough quality to go and get a result from the game tomorrow, for me should we set up with two strikers it will save sharp becoming isolated which at times has been the theme this season.

Rovers v Accrington, battle of the two most out of form sides in L2. We’ve beaten Accy at home in the League and EFL Cup this season. Though our home record against Stanley is decent, have to wonder if third time unlucky? Missing the suspended Davies and Finley, the former will be missed more and leaves us looking brittle at the back. Need to score at least twice to be in with a chance of taking something from this game.

Definitely would prefer both Sharp and Ironside to start I just don’t think we have the right combination of players in midfield to make it work against a team like Walsall. I hope I’m completely wrong but I just haven’t seen us play well enough this season, we seem to be missing a spark.

I certainly wouldn’t give up any hope, this is a great time to be playing us. Half the squad is injured.

If you believe what’s being wrote on our forum, we can add Grigg & Colclough to the long term injured list. Hope & pray it’s bollocks, but with how this season has gone I’m sure it’ll be true. Absolute piss take
