Any Chance of this being called off Macclesfield fans?

I live 10 miles over the hills in the Peak District and it's been slashing down all night and is still, but according to folk in Macc on our forum it's been a dry night and nothing more forecast until 8pm tonight so looking good.

Don't live in Macc itself but people are saying it hasn't really rained overnight. We'll do everything we can to get it on for financial reasons which may mean we end up playing in a puddle, going 2 0 down by halftime and then the game getting called off a la Ashton in the trophy.

Lets hope so, just about to set off now, any pubs near the ground?

Ground is a bit out of town along the main road. If you're coming by train then there's a fair few on the walk (20-25 mins) from station to ground. If you're driving, park up near the ground and there's 1 a couple of minutes nto the estate beyond the ground, a couple 5 mins back into town or there's the bar at the ground that welcomes away fans if you fancy contributing to Dennis's wages.

Railway view about a mile short from the ground, turn left over little hump back bridge and on your right. Bit cramped but good beer. Or golden lion just past the ground, about 400 yards round the bend into the estate. Otherwise best bet it town centre, dozens of places, treacle tap, snow goose, the Macc, all excellent drinkeries.

The most sensible tweet I think I have read from the National League account!

THE NATIONAL LEAGUE ‏@TheNationalLge 2h2 hours ago
We should reflect, the loss of a game of football does not compare with the loss some have suffered over recent weeks from constant rainfall
Most sensible? No, the *only* sensible thing they've ever tweeted. I'm not sure which account is more embarrassing, theirs or Lincoln's "official" one.

Aye they spend most of their budget on Damian Reeeve's wages instead of getting decent a drainage system.

That's spoiled the Chester fans annual whine about having to stand in the rain on the open away end.

Looking forward to roasting Torquay today. Bit of a stuffing is always nice at Christmas.

We have a good drainage system, however its lashed it down all night long here, even the roads have huge lakes everywhere this morning and onto wet ground so we didnt have a chance of this going ahead, plus it forecast more rain here most of the day.

I never fancy using the supporters coach so gave PVR a miss today, I do like my away trips to welling though. Should be a win with their awful recent record but we've started to drop off the pace and they are due a win over us. 9 from 9 is possible and would be encouraging for the new year

We've opted for our smallest possible defence against a physically imposing Tranmere side.

And unsurprisingly we concede from a header from a corner.

We've a right back at centre back having a mare, with 2 perfectly good centre halves on the bench (well 1 and Tony diagne).

Tranmere in decent numbers, would guess 900-1k.

Sounds like we're being battered according to Radio Lincolnshire.

Dirty dirty side tranmere, so many late and cynical fouls, ref could lose control of this, letting them off far too easily. Should have been 3/4 yellows by now.
