3-1 Bradford.

I'm at a wedding in Donegal this Saturday so will be smashed either way!

One bit of good news - Jordan Lyden is fit. So Grant could play at CB with Lyden reverting back to his DM role. Just need Anderson fit now!

3 potentially 4 key players out, 3 of which are in the central spine of the team including our top scorer.

But despite a disappointing draw against Scunny performances have improved last 4/5 games.

I'm going to go 1-1, thankfully Doyle can't play be cause he would definitely get one against us with the form he's started the season in.

Even with Swindon suffering with a few injuries, we’re without some very influential players. Ben Richards-Everton, James Vaughan and potentially Matty Palmer. Although, I do think Palmer will be fit.

It does pave the way for Shay McCartan or the QPR loanee, though.

My predictions:

GK: Kelvin Mellor
CB: Paudie O’connor
CB: Anthony O’connor
LB: Connor Wood

RW: Harry Pritchard
CM: Matty Palmer
CM: Callum Cooke
LW: Dylan Connolly

CAM: Shay McCartan

CF: Clayton Donaldson

1-0 City

Palmer out injured as a result of Scunthorpe’s red card, meaning effectively playing with 10 for the foreseeable as Akpan/Anderson/Devine take his place, all useless. Possibly have McCartan there instead with Oteh upfront, but another key area down the spine that will be weaker.

I know we’ll find out eventually, but why all the cloak and dagger stuff from both clubs on whether Doyle can get recalled or not in January?

No idea, I can’t see us calling him back though as Bowyer can’t get a tune out of him and his wages are a big stumbling block. It sounds about right that we loan out the leagues top scorer to give them promotion at our expense.

I really don’t think he’ll be the difference between us going up at your expense. Tbh, if I had a choice between keeping Doyle or our captain Conroy not being out for the season, I’d pick the latter.

Having a proper footballer at CB is a must for the way we want to play. Your average L2 hoof it, head it CB is no use to us.

Absolute shite 45 mins. Bradford slightly better.

On this showing we’re both going nowhere.

No complaints with that. We were dreadful 1st half, perked up a bit, but we’re playing nothing like we were a couple of weeks ago.

Too good for Swindon - even with half the squad missing.

Dominated throughout, if we were more clinical which has been a problem throughout we’d have won by more. Only shot they had on target they scored from which they only got when our defence fell asleep to one of their clearances.

Expected a lot more from Swindon especially as we have four key players out. Maybe they just weren’t at the races or our tactics totally nullified them.

Either way our performances have improved a lot in the last 5 games, we’re finally getting to the level we need to be at. Not there yet though, but most enjoyable game at VP in some time from our point of view.

Bantams deserved winners today. Both teams missing key players today, but City's depth of squad key, as two players who have barely had a look in this season, Akpan and McCartan come up trumps with the goals.

Callum Cooke looks more impressive each game. He controlled the midfield with Akpan today.

Ismail impressed with his trickery on his first start of the season

Defence looked strong again

All in all, we are improving each week, but should perhaps be scoring more goals with the chances we create.

Disappointed with Swindon, expected much more from them. Yates looked lively, but nobody really stood out for them today

Impressive following from Swindon. Another good atmosphere today. We are starting to make VP a fortress

On to Bradford-by-the- sea next week, another sell out away following and hopefully another 3 points

Agreed with the above, surprised me by how much we controlled things, didn’t expect a. To be as alright as we were and b. That Swindon offered so little to what I’d imagined going in to today.
Much more confident going into Morecambe now, each week that passes the squad gels and gets a little bit better and we sus this league out a little bit more.

Ismail would be class at this level if he had decent end product.

If he had a decent end product, arguably, he wouldn’t be batting his trade in League Two.

But you knew that, didn’t ya.

I think that’s a bit harsh, a goal and two assists something like that after barely featuring? Early days but I really like him so far, has a bit of Fil Morais about him with that step over and how he took his goal the other week - for me he’s a definite starter.

Them stats are already better than 8k a week Scannell, and he hit the post from a tight and yesterday. I actually think he’s been quite accurate for a winger so far. Especially if you compare him to Kyle Reid.

Just been reading the views of Swindon fans on their forum; it’s amazing how many seem to think they deserved a draw. Look at the stats, you wasn't even in the game.

Oh, and we’re just the average L2 side. Not shit but not very good, either.

Swindon had one shot on target. I wouldn't describe a share of the spoils as a travesty but we were more than worthy winners.

Scored twice, goal disallowed, missed an open net with last kick of the game.

Comfortable home win.

Not read them as don’t bother with other fans forums as it’s usually full of salty nonsense if you beat a team, but I did listen to their coach yesterday who said we deserved the win. Usually pretty telling. They should have been happy to only lose by one, we were lucky in a similar way again Crewe.

As I expected from what I have read Bradford deserved their win and we didn't do enough to really trouble them.

After our good start to the season, our run of games against the better sides, isn't going too well. Injuries can attribute somewhat to this as we have to keep chopping and changing sides. However Bradford from what I read here have plenty of injury problems themselves so Wellens needs to be able to improve having to use his squad properly.

GL to the Bantams going forward.

I'm sure you'll still do well with Isgrove and Doyle if he doesn't turn to our version. Who is you number ten? Looks a bit like Pirlo from far away, he came on at half time and made you more competitive in the centre after half time.

I did expect more though from you given we ourselves have 4 key players out through injury and suspension.

Good luck to yourselves as well, I'm sure you'll beat us at CG feels like we never do well there.

Ten is Michael Doughty. On his day our best player and makes us tick. It sounds our potential match winners Isgrove, Anderson etc were all sightly below par/nullified and you deserved your win.

A point would have been great but we have to jump back with 3 points at home to Plymouth on Saturday.

I'd happily have him here, we can trade you our midfield general Anderson should you wish, top player on his day, maybe anyway. Yeah Isgrove was quiet has a decent chance at 1-0 but did little else, no doubt a good player though.
