Much needed win, not much between the two sides, we just about shaded a mediocre game.
Good size crowd if a little quite, but to be fair they give you nothing to cheer.
Start of a run or another false dawn, I'm not to sure on the back of that game. Probably between 4th and 8th for both teams this season.

Agree with all this, spot on. We were quite but to be expected after that shit, we were far louder against the likes of Sheff Utd and Bolton last season.

Very disappointing day all round. I expected more, a lot more, from both sides.

We're lacking leaders, and McMahon is seriously struggling this year. If he doesn't improve, we'll require another loan for that position.

I don't like the diamond, and I think the players don't either. I can't help but feel we're using this system to incorporate McArtan - another player who is yet to start the season.

We need to seriously improve if we want to be up there come May. Not good enough.

Was never going to be a classic, pressure on both sides, with our terrible showing against Doncaster I had no confidence whatsoever going into this one. Bradford lost some of there better players before the season started and wanting to preserve the home record. I am 100% sure both sides will improve and be in the top 6 come the seasons end.

Think we will be alright when players come back and we figure out our best formation. There's some talent on the field (and off it). We've got 6 points out of 9 so there's no point getting dramatic about it. Obviously we got past two poor sides in Blackpool and Gillingham, Blackburn just had too much about them.

My only criticism is that why do we always seem to take a few weeks to figure out how we want to play. What's the point in pre-season. We actually started last season really well for a change because we had about 11 fit players so he could only pick one side and wasn't fecking around with it.

Newcastle summed it up for me. I was shocked with McCall, telling them to treat it as a European tie and keep the score down by playing a negative formation. The whole point of pre season is to build up for the first game, so why play a formation we we're never going to use? Now he plays the diamond in our first two home games, first one we played awful against one of the weaker sides but get away with it, but yesterday we were toothless. We weren't dominant against Gillingham, but the 433 still looked far more balanced. That and him blaming us not have a right sided centre back been the reason we can't play it out of the back, has left me puzzled as the first time he was in charge.

C & B will continue to blame the board for everything no doubt, but if it was Rosler acting this way it would be a total different story. I hope it does work with Stuart, but at the moment I'm struggling to see how it will, he has to take his fair share of the blame.

Preseason has been a bit of a farce, recruitment wise, footballing wise, injuries didn't play their part in helping the situation but agree with the above that it was no decent platform to launch from.
McCall, I'll never be fully convinced with, too much of a hangover from last time round, we try differnent formations say (the opposite to PP) but always end up with the same style of play, generally sideways until it reaches a fullback who'll cross.
His interview post match on Saturday was an honest one as it normally is to his credit, I just hope he can rectify the problems he spoke about, it's vital we strengthen with the right players before the window shuts.

I must be missing something but the Rosler you mention, is that our Uwe or somebody else ? and where does this Rosler come into it

When the owners first came in he was mentioned that's why, before he went to Fleetwood. If we'd have brought him in instead of our biggest club legend, then I believe most of the current criticism which is aimed at our board would be aimed at the manager instead. He gets away with a lot because of his playing status, but the facts are he is nowhere near as good a coach as he was a player.

To be fair he's lost one game. It's not the end of the world.

Recruitment in my opinion has been the downfall over the summer, not McCall.
