Strange game that.

No complaints about being beaten by a better side, but considering we were down to ten men from 15 minutes I would've expected far more from Preston. Steads's glaring miss before HT was the game changer for me, had that gone in it would've given us something to hold onto and something else for Grayson to think about.

As for the Preston fan moaning about our pitch and kicking of the opposition; its not as if we choose for our pitch to be like that, believe it or not we can actually play football. And as for kicking opposition, we gave away 8 fouls today, compared to PNEs 19.

Surprisingly, it took Joe Garner about 20 seconds to end up on the floor. A full 15 seconds longer than anyone would've expected, throwing himself all over as usual. Still love him in our team though.

Did nothing to help us generally and appeared to blame others for teams shortcomings while doing little himself.

Apart from being a shite footballer who only performs when he has a point to prove (ie, against a former club), he's an absolute prick.

Fair play. Seems okay for us, though I'm not sat in the dressing room with him on a Saturday.
Doubt he'll be with us next season anyway.

Kilkenny is a quality footballer at this level, not always fit for purpose but he's ran many a game for us since he's been a Preston player.

Its nothing to do with that tbh, there's just no room for him at the moment. The upturn in form has co-incided with Garner, Johnson and Robinson

I think Grayson has realised though, with Johnson being a flair player who likes to push on and attack and score goals like he has been doing recently, playing someone like Walsh in there with him who will win the ball back and offload it to the likes of Robinson, Johnson, Gallagher etc who are all superb, attacking and creative midfielders/wingers, it gives a much better balance to the team.

Two totally different types of player Walsh and Kilkenny, but each have their own attributes, and each offer different roles and styles of play in the team.

Yep, pretty much nail on the head. Kilkenny was perfect for today, especially with them down to 10 men. Just controlled everything and had so much time on the ball.

We've Had a lot of new openings around city centre and up north parade, plenty of choice now for all kinds of beer you like. Plenty of investment around aswell at moment all spanning from the Westfield shopping centre getting built, which can only be a good thing.
