It'll be fine until some spotty herbert in charge of the currency dies along with all his passwords, like last time.

If this bloke is an analytics type then spending big is the last thing they're do.

The idea is to find undervalued players, buy them, use them in unusual ways to the benefit of the team.

Expect to see an aged centre half used as a winger...or vice versa.

Lot of money and risk that… we just hired Flickers and a recruitment specialist with their data based Matrix! Not sure how it works though but has seen Ben Garrity become signed as a back up midfielder and turn him into Harry Kane during our crisis.

The more I read about it the more I think it's a lot of nonsense. Someone's on a wind-up or it's a smoke screen for something.

Edit: Yorkshire post says we're not looking to sell and that there's been no offer whatsoever from this party or any other.

Isn't this all about confusing Bradford with Bedford? I know the latter will be playing Real Madrid in the 2033 Champions League final but still.

Can’t see it going through, but entirely confident that it’ll be an unmitigated disaster if it does.

Well a bid has been made. No comment on whether it has been accepted or rejected but this is the first time we've heard from the owner in probably a year.

Just talked to my teenager who is more exposed to crypto currencies and NFTs than I. His response included the terms “Magic Money”, ”I suppose the chicken might lay golden eggs” and “you could call a crypto currency The Magic Bean and people might invest.” Fair to say he did not think it was a good mix with the risky world of football ownership.

That said it is intriguing that there might be a new model of funding.

Most interesting thing to happen at this club since Rupp took over, whether anything comes of this or not he can’t fuck off soon enough.

Chairman Stefan Rupp has provided an update to supporters, following a recent offer to purchase Bradford City AFC.

Mr Rupp said: “On Thursday I received an offer from the WAGMI United group to purchase the football club. This has been rejected.

“A great deal has been aired publicly since the offer was made. This, as well as a number of factors which will remain private, has led me to this decision.

“As a proud custodian of this wonderful football club, my first and most important responsibility is to protect it and safeguard its long-term future, while upholding our values.

“I, and certainly no one else connected to this football club, is actively trying to promote its sale, and my commitment has not changed.

“The matter is closed, and our attention returns to what is truly important, as we build towards a strong second half of the season and aim to achieve our goals.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with Bradford City AFC a very Merry Christmas, as we look forward to 2022.”

I mean, they're basically just a certificate saying that you own the 'original' of something created in a medium that has no concept of an original. Thanks to the same technology used in cryptocurrency they are un-forgeable but still, the actual NFT is a strange concept.

However as long as people who buy things purely for investment purposes hold them as valuable and good investment then they will continue to work, just like any other commodity, be it Dogecoin, studio flats, physical artwork, tulips or shares in the South Sea Company.

Will this be forever? I'm unconvinced though unlike those other commodities, there is no limit on supply so maybe, if people can keep creating ever more desirable NFT's and people still value them in part because of the artwork they represent (even though calling it an original is dubious). I think a lot of old NFTs will plummet in value as the memes they came in on the back of fade into obscurity (anyone want to buy some Belle Delphine bathwater off me? Kids these days don't even know who she is)

Just as a matter of interest there is a point of disagreement between their two statements.
Bradford chairman Stefan Rupp wrote:

“On Thursday I received an offer from the WAGMI United group to purchase the football club.”

In reply WAGMI wrote:

“....but to suggest he [Mr Rupp] had never heard of WAMI before Thursday .... is simply untrue.”

!!!!!!!!!??

It is nice that both parties wish well to the fans.

Emmerdale surely?

I had a little look at the Bradford forum, your fans sound similar to ours in that you're mostly united in wanting change at the top but when someone turns up up to offer change, and there are red flags, you're somewhat divided in whether they might actually be worse than you have now, or whether the people who are suspicious of the potential new owners can be accused of supporting the current owners and called 'happy clappers'.

You've just described every fanbase/messageboard up and down the country who are or have been in a similar position.
