3rd vs 4th. Can see us doing the exact same as last season here, coming for a point. Think we're gonna sit deep and try and hit Bradford on the counter attack. Can't see their being many goals in this one.

We are terrible against teams who sit in, and shit on Tuesday nights. Although it was a great result Saturday, I'm more confident for Shrewsbury than tomorrow I can see us getting turned over 0-1 but hope I'm wrong and we can kick on.

I always seem to predict us drawing but can’t see anything else for tomorrow night, 0-0, 1-1 ish, can’t imagine many goals. In Scunthorpe’s favour 0-1 has been a popular score this season at VP for visiting sides. Presume McArdle will start to which he’ll get a great reception from us.

Exactly this. Worries me that Don has said they’ll come and defend. We will huff and puff and do feck all. Hopefully Alexander tries to go for it:

Against a good side away from home? Not a chance. We will sit with everyone behind the ball and try and frustrate you. Think it will end 0-0 or 1-0 either way. We don't score many usually but we don't concede many either.

It’s the best policy against us. Defend well, Reeves and Law struggle to break teams down, Wyke gets isolated and we usually give a goal away. It’s predictable and tiresome at home. We get a lot more joy against teams who come at us, probably why we’ve got a decent away record.

Unfortunately Law and Reeves are Stu’s love children so doubt we will be looking to change things. Would personally love a good winger and attacking mid in Jan.

Bog standard home game for us, control possession whilst looking to slow in the final third then conceding from their only real chance. Hope we don't get punished for that late goal, great goal by Taylor again though.

Heading towards yet another home defeat......Would that be 5 already this season? Certainly not good enough.

2 different keepers, two howlers not sure how we didn't win but it's the story at home atm.

Teams know just to sit in now and we have no answer, does McCall have an answer?

No, he doesn't. I love him and have really enjoyed the football that he's produced since he's been back, but he will never get us promoted out of this division.

I haven’t really seen us play well this season. Not saying Scunny were any good today but we just never looked like getting back into it when they scored their second. And the goals conceded were amateurish defending from set pieces. I get we are looking better away from home but it’s the same old shite at home and I can’t see it changing. We are too slow in midfield and we just end up lumping it to Wyke.

I will say one thing. It's looking like Bradford and Scunny are heading for the playoffs again. Two similar teams who play the same style of football who just don't have enough to go up automatically. Will be 3 seasons in a row for Bradford and two for Scunny after marginally missing out the season before

Five home losses by November is crap by any standard, tonight’s another game I’m scratching my head as to how we lost again but the simple facts are we concede such soft goals and don’t look like scoring going the other way.

Any reason Doyle went off? Other than only facing 2 shots, the first he nearly fumbled into his own net and the second being the goal where he stumbled out into no mans land? Which he does pretty much every week?

Apparently done his knee and out for a while.

Can’t say I’m that fussed although Sattelmaier didn’t cover himself in glory with the second.

What a fantastic win that was. Battled fantastically. Defense was immense tonight, took a belter to beat us. Goalkeeper has had a howler for that 2nd but we aren't complaining. Got battered for most of the game but Bradford didn't really ever look like getting a second. Gilks made one good save from a header early in the 2nd half but he wasn't really massively tested.

Yep - you really didn’t attend tonight, did you?

Same old story mate!

Truth is, we were dominant throughout, IMO. You came into the game more in the second half - and why you subbed Holmes, I’ll never know.

We’re just so tippy-tappy in that final third, with no real intent whatsoever. That being said, you’re another team who has visited VP this season who could consider themselves very lucky to pick up maximum points - had luck been on our side in these games, we’d be sitting pretty in the autos at present.

Great save from Gilks in the dying embers to deny Taylor from another worldie!

Our luck will turn, and that’s all that’s letting us down at the minute on home soil.

It's boring now. Week in week out we get told we do 'the right things' (whatever they may be) and still end up losing.

Three defeats in a row at home and each game has been a carbon copy of the other.

Away team comes and sits with little genuine intention of attacking (not a moan - they're perfectly entitled to do so), City are happy to slowly tip tap it around in the middle third creating next to nothing and we get hit either on the break or by individual mistakes. Both Scunnys goals last night came from keeper howlers.

Didn't go last night but Reeves needs dropping for a couple of games, been awful for the past month or so.
