Fair play to Shrewsbury, I didn’t envisage him ending up at the bottom of League One, literally the only option they could’ve gone for to go in with any experience.

Will be really intriguing to see if he can turn them around.

Thats the only managerial option available for the bottom of League One now gone……
Gary Rowett is available. Rumours are that our kuwaiti owners talked to him about the managers job here behind MT's back and he turned it down

Shrews +Ainsworth looks a good fit ,unfortunately for us. Dirty team + shithouse manager =survival . If Monk goes he would have been my choice, although I don’t think our squad is particularly suited to his style.

If Stockport were to get rid of Challinor, Caldwell would almost immediately be bookies favourite... Back up north, his missus and kids live in Manchester (I think), main thing he's best mates with Mark Stott

I'd like to think Stott would be wise enough from his time in business to know appointing your best mate is a bad idea. I'd really like to think he'd stick to the structure and let the DOF Simon Wilson pick the new manager.

As it goes, I think the most likely scenario of Challinor departing us is for him to go to a bigger club.

Why would Caldwell go there though? In footballing terms?
