You guys had had two shots until we had Mepham sent off. Both of the cards given to him were pathetic from the ref. In addition to all the chances we had before the red, including a really bad miss from Maupay, we also hit the post after.
Knew I’d eventually come on here to a message like this from you. You guys created nothing till we were down to 10 men. You’re so blind it’s ridiculous.
Everyone knows you're a Brentford fan anyway. You are right tbh City weren’t in it & took a dubious red to muster a last minute win
You check the club twitter & there acting as if they qualified for champions league.
Everyone knows you're a Brentford fan anyway.
Or because everyone is buzzing after an away win? You're a proper weirdo you areNearly 24 hours of posts about this win?
Is it because there not on another Johnson run?
Or because everyone is buzzing after an away win? You're a proper weirdo you are
Charlie you’re a fucking moron mate.
It's not as though you've been much higher to "fall" is it daft lad....?Buzzing after scrapping a last minute goal against 10 men?
That really how far City have fallen?
It is embarrassing.
It’s tinpot.
Doesn't matter how you deem us to of won, a wins a win you fucking idiot.Buzzing after scrapping a last minute goal against 10 men?

And you wonder why no one believes you support city. You'll be walking into your sock next week if Charlie Adam scores the winner against us
Or when Watkins won a dubious penalty at Leeds last week..... precious c***Funny seeing the Brentford fans bemoaning their luck with referees, didn’t seem to have a problem when that fucking rat Maupay conned the ref by going down holding his face when nobody had been anywhere near him in our recent game resulting in Keif being sent off...
Ha only a small jerking movement when we scored, the problem was ranting at the ref for a bad decision in midfield. The Brentford fans around me were salty as and its reflected in their forum commentsTTOCS I hope you were one of the City fans that caused bother by getting up when we scored in the home end? Hahaha
Did you make Motion?Well I had a great day.
I got pissed up and was refused entry for the game. Apparently I was stumbling around Kew Bridge at 3:45pm.
Ah well, win is a win.
Did you make Motion?
Annoying game of football. Thought it was a thoroughly poor game throughout the first half, with both teams timid and ineffectual. Maupay should have scored (or at least actually connected with his shooting foot) when the ball was played across to him on the edge of the six yard box, and Watkins probably would have scored his effort from a cut-back when he smacked it straight at the keeper. Both crap efforts. But then again, City had a perfectly fine goal disallowed, so can't really complain.
Second half and the ref has had a nightmare - again, that happens from time to time (we won't be starting up a petition unlike certain other sides...), but it was a completely predictable thing to happen after such a shite first half. The first yellow for Mepham simply shouldn't have happened, as the ref should have blown up long before the scuffle started. He should have blown up the second Kamo has the ball stuck between his legs, but he let the game carry on. Then he should have blown the second Pack started kicking Kamo - trying to get the ball, but getting nowhere near it and just kicking the player instead - but instead he let play carry on. And then he had no choice but to book Mepham and Pack once the pushing started. Crap refereeing.
The second wasn't a yellow or red - zero contact whatsoever from Mepham, arms up in the air away from the player, and there's no contact between their legs or feet. But it was bound to happen, and Mepham's forced the ref into a decision by getting too close.
After that, having hit the post and then going close with another close-ranger, we were never going to win or get anything out of it. We just looked wiped out. Although I didn't think City actually created much of note despite having the share of things. Good finish though, but borne out of a lack of concentration from us once again.
We played City at AC a few seasons ago when you were on top and taking us to pieces at 0-0, and then had a player sent off for almost decapitating Harlee Dean. We then went on to win comfortably. Can't really complain when things go for us, or against us. It happens.
Probably a good result for both teams, as it should hopefully force us to address our current problems. First game we've lost at home since March... but no wins away this season and a habit for conceding late goals... same old same old.
I don't see that Marlon did a lot wrong tbh toshj, yes, the ref should have blown for a handball when your player covered the ball but, as he didn't, Marlon was competing for the ball and your fella was led across it. Given the ref gave the free kick to us, I think the accusations against Marlon are wrong with all respect. The two yellows for pushing each other away were sadly predictable but the ref cocked up by not blowing for the hand ball in the first place.
As for a lack of clear cut chances for us, Bentley (who I rate highly) made a few good saves, as did young Max O'Leary for us (why you didn't test him more I'll never know) but with the Bentley saves and a perfectly good goal disallowed, saying we didn't 'create' is a tad wide of the mark.
Yes, it wasn't a great game but I reckon a few of your guys totally lost it towards the end, particularly Maupay and that isn't a great trait as everyone will be winding him up now. Another minute or so and I reckon he would have swung for Hunt who seemed to have him wound right up!
I couldn't see (on the tele) whether there was contact for the second yellow but tell me your players wouldn't have done the same thing in the same situation, particularly away from home at a tough venue?
Bit of a 'shithouse' victory but we needed it and it's good to see (from our point of view) that we might finally have lost our soft underbelly as it's happened to us many times and for such a young side to show such gonads is a positive for us.
On your forum, we're being made out to be a dirty side, the free kick count would suggest otherwise.
That, in a nutshell, is spot on toshj. Very poor on the ref's part, especially when he gave the free kick to us, for, I assume, the initial handball. Why he didn't blow immediately is very strange, thereby, as you say, avoiding the handbags that followed and the totally unnecessary yellow cards. Not a lot in it, but the ref either has to blow immediately for obstruction and a free kick to you, or a foul on Kamo and a free kick to us. Either way, he should have made a decision but instead made none and a preventable situation unfolded.

You make it sound like this isn't a regular occurrence? Why was there a Bristol City fan in the away end holding a dead pigeon?
Not for Brentford away I wouldn’t. I actually can’t think of a worse league game to make your debut for in this division.
