Definitely playing Brentford at the right time for Charlton, in a terrible run of form. A win would make things interesting down the bottom.

1-1.

I'm bored of being pessimistic.

Today is the first win of a month long unbeaten run as we eventually climb out of the bottom three.

But really, 2-0 Brentford.

Perfect time to score, during the minutes applause for bees fan Dean Langford who died this week aged just 24.

We are just as bad as those sides scrapping it out at the bottom, thankfully we went on a great run under Lee Carsley to put some points on the board. Real shame he didn't want the job though as Dean Smith has done a fucking terrible job so far.

His substitutions today were terrible, and some of his team selections in recent weeks have also been awful.

To be fair though, the recruitment last summer was terrible. Wasted loads of money on Hofmann, Djuricin, etc. At the moment we have a team of League 1 level players and Judge.

You can't let 7 of your first XI go without replacing them properly and expect to do well.

Blame falls on the DoFs for me, though Smith at the moment also really doesn't look up to the job.

8 defeats out of 11 now, the only points we've got have come from wonder goals against teams in worse runs than us. Could well trouble the relegation zone at this rate...
