And last years 2 1 victory when down to ten men was for me, our defining moment to go on a clinch promotion especially as we was losing.

I hate you for those 2 games alone. There aren't many Southend fans that like Burton definitely some sort of fake rivalry between us developing.

Over the past month we've really grown in confidence and are now winning games, don't think there has been a difference in quality between the two sides over the past couple of seasons and I feel that remains now we just took a while to get going.

As for our starting line-up I would imagine Noel Hunt will be fit and now find himself on the bench, can't drop Pigott after a brace and this will work in Burton's favour massively because Hunt is our best player by a mile and Pig is not very good... but fully expect this to be a tightly contested game either 0-0 or 1-1

Any talk of the football on offer, tactics, formations etc are totally irrelevant. The only man who will make any headlines tomorrow is referee Trevor Kettle. A game when you need a strong referee and you get an arse with a whistle. I was looking forward to the game but now I am dreading it with this incompetent fool in charge. Nuff said.

Ruined my weekend now that dick is in charge. Score will still be 1 1 but 2 sent off and only 50 mins of football the rest whistle blowing and petty refeering

I will be surprised if we finish the match with 11 players and expect a penalty against us so we are up against it before we even start.

Surprised to say Mr Kettle had a reasonable game. The match was tight although the statistics suggest we definitely shaded it. Not many clear chances.
We didn't find our fluency much apart from a brief period in each half but neither did the shrimpers as each team cancelled the other out. The goal was a bit of a comedy moment as Naylor's shot from the left of the box was going wide until Prosser swung with his right foot and missed it but it connected with his standing leg and deflected past Bentley between the sticks.
Albion know how to grind out results even when not playing well.

In my opinion he is the worst referee in the league but he was fairly competent in this match. I think we know how to play him now though to be honest !
