Brighton to the Championship?

Was discussing how Brighton would do this season and pissed off my mate by saying that Brighton would get relegated. I said this because although they've strengthened, other teams around them have made bigger improvements and I struggle to see 3 teams that are worse. Does anyone else agree or am I talking shit?

Possible, I think Cardiff are nailed on for relegation. Their recruitment shows that they are buying players who will stay with them for when they go down next season, anything better than that is a bonus. I think Huddersfield will be in and around the bottom 3 again, and I think Burnley could struggle with the demands of a Europa League campaign. Cardiff, Huddersfield and Burnley would be my 3.

I agree with Cardiff and Huddersfield going down as they have many championship level players and not a lot of firepower up top but I don't see Burnley going down. Although having Europa league will impact them i think they're good enough to get midtable

I think if the league is dire, Burnley will kindly bow out of Europe before things get out of control. EL games make a huge difference in a season but Burnley have enough quality to play on 2 fronts for half a season, possibly not the whole season though.

I have no idea which team bought which player so won't comment on the Brighton going down bit. They'll be candidates but so will be most of the league.

If you told me back in May that we'd start the next season without signing a defender, I'd have been a little angry and rather worried. Yet here we are, getting knocked back with valuations we can't / don't want to pay for any defender we go asking after.

So we're looking at starting another season with the defensive options we have, with the widely known fact that we have to score 2 or 3 to win any given game. So right now that worries me, although there's still time for that to change. The right ~2 signings would make us look a genuinely decent outfit. But I'm sure the same could be said for most.

Every year there seems to be a basket case of a club that helps everyone above out giving just two spots to fight over. West Brom bar their late improvement were that club last season, Sunderland and Villa before them. Who will be that club this time?

Brighton will be in the mix, but Hughton and the setup they have know what they're doing, there's likely to be 3 worse for me.

Brighton will stay up. Cardiff, Saints and Huddersfield the bottom three. Possibly Arsenal. Can't see Burnley anywhere near the bottom.

It will be another wide open season down the bottom, I think Palace will be fine under Roy and do better than last season, second season syndrome could come into play for Huddersfield and Brighton, especially Huddersfield as they just stayed up last season. Newcastle even though they have Rafa have failed to invest again and could get dragged in, Cardiff will be down there they seem to have taken the Burnley approach of making sure they can bounce straight back if they go down, Fulham and Wolves could go either way. Southampton and Watford are two sides that may struggle, should be a very interesting season.

I'm not sure about Watford. Not overly inspired by their manager although if it all goes wrong, they'll sack him before they're in any immediate danger of going down.

Hughes at Southampton could go either way. I don't rate him but he's always had enough to get teams to mid table most years.

Cardiff look nailed on. Newcastle are screwed if Rafa leaves during the season. Huddersfield will be in the battle. Fulham won't be a million miles away.

I think Brighton will stay up personally. The lower half of the prem is about not conceding and Hughton is good at that in the main.
