Yeah this sorry bunch by more than 3...

4-0 v Manchester United
6-1 v Crewe Alexandra
6-0 v Colchester United
7-0 v Oldham Athletic
0-5 v Crewe

0-6 at Bradford trumps us though I reckon (other than Manchester United in the cup), a fucking impressive result if ever I saw one.

So well done Bristol City, pleased to see you go up although hardly unexpected (though I am sure Ciderup is still shitting himself at the thought of finishing 3rd even now).

Fantastic team and a decent bunch of fans.

We are still the best team in the league BTW!

When you were battering all these teams I thought you would nab us to the title - but I've also said I thought Preston and Swindon would finish above us at stages in the season, despite every other fan from every other club telling me otherwise.

I should listen more ;)

But I'm incredibly surprised, delighted, and just - wow.

I'm looking forward to celebrating in our final games, and kicking back and enjoying the playoffs.

Good luck all of you - especially you Scummy ;)

Thanks all.

It's hard to convey just how proud I am of the bunch of players that we have assembled at the club. This season could hardly have gone any better and they've all played their part in it.

0-6 away at Bradford to seal promotion is just ridiculous.

Congrats on the League Title and JPT double :2thumb:

Though we did win the 'proper' Double back in 1888 :bg:

That is spot on, I would also add it's the togetherness of our squad which as shone through, a lot of that as to go down to our preseason tour of Botswana, I can honestly say that I have never seen a team who pull together so much whether their in the match day squad or not.

Congrats from North London too.

Always had the measure of this division from the early months and good for Albie too. Isn't that six Promotions he's had in his career now? Stockport, Hull, MK Dons, Norwich, Palace and now City.

They won't - it's never that harsh on a punishment, will be a mere fine.
It will be a 3 point deduction, they won the game and the player in question won man of the match.

Fair play, been a relentless set of results over the past few months when the rest of us have all had periods where we've faultered. Well deserved.

I hope you are right, too many northern monkeys in this league as it is. Lost you and Yeovil, could lose Swine, Creepy , Col U and Orient :ffs:

It rarely is - West Ham got let off the hook, Chesterfield had to replay the tie, there have been many other instances where it has just been fines.

I'd be very surprised if it is a deduction - and like you originally said, your gonna have another Blackpool relegation to celebrate ;)

Does this mean Brighton will get the 3 points then or what?

The games you mentioned were cup games, different rules for them it seems.. All cases of this with a league team if the team has won, leads to a points deduction.

True - let's see if the FA have the balls to cause controversy and do it then.

They have to really but would be surprising to see them do Millwall a favour.

Great stuff, one of my mates is a City fan so always pleased to see them do well, Luke Freeman has been an inspired signing, looking forward to seeing him in the Championship next season. Just make sure you finish the job and win that title, I fancy winning some money!
