Tomlin is not a midfielder, as much as 1FF isn't a striker, both are forwards and 1FF is played out left.
Tomlin plays in an attacking midfield role. It's still a midfield role.

Forestieri on the left in your 4-4-2? Who played up top with Hooper then? Forestieri definitely did at our place, and I thought as much whenever I watched you on the box.

He was more in the hole, ala Tomlin than up top, more a 4-4-1-1 set up.

Makes sense. I do like Forestieri, unbelievably talented. Would be surprised if you're not fending off PL interest for him this summer!

Our STs are in the Lower Dolman on the halfway line, looks so imposing from there. It's awesome
Moving back in to the upper Dolman myself next season (B block / E33 I think) from the SS and went up there to check our seats at the Huddersfield game. What always put me off sitting higher up in the Dolman previously was the sun in your eyes from the East end / Williams corner. It ain't a problem anymore, let's put it that way. It's huge that West stand!

I find this Tomlin marlarkey completely cringeworthy. 28 of the last 29 tweets from the club are about him for gods sake!

Don't deny he is a good player who will improve us, but he's not THAT great!

When the old EE was still up, it was a right pain Charlie. The sun was right in your eyes when looking into that corner from the Dolman. I was in the family corner last year so maybe the SS was enough of a shield. It certainly shouldn't be any sort of issue this season.
You didn't fancy moving back to the West stand then?

Are they calling it the west stand then?

Not this season I might go back but suspect that stand will be full of suits and the stewards will be a pain in the ass over there.

I quite like the Dolman were I am sat to

Worry is they're one club you think might make the sort of ridiculous bid we would accept :err:

So we'd hopefully fleece them for it and get enough to be able to easily afford a replacement plus some.

Would be a shame if Flint goes: but he isn't irreplaceable. However, it would be a massive risk because it would be just like us to end up with no center-backs come the start of the season.

Great for us to tie Korey down on a 3 year deal; he's a really integral part to our team, and it would be hard to replace him IMO.

Our squad for the friendly today:

O’Donnell, O’Leary, Little, Williams, Flint, Ayling, Golbourne, Vyner, Kelly, Bryan, Pack, Reid, Freeman, De Girolamo, J.Smith, O’Neil, Brownhill, Tomlin, Burns, Agard, Wilbraham, Garita, Kodjia.

Looks like everyone who's currently in contention to be in the first team come 2016/17, apart from Korey Smith and Frank Fielding (both injured).

Half tempted to go down but don't want to get down there for all the tickets to already been sold.

Ended up going in the end. Freeman ran the first half, 3 assists I think. Pack looked assured. Trialist looked lively, but nothing overly special.

Tomlin is just ridiculous. Lowly opposition I know but no keeper in the world word have saved his goals. Good goal for Jonny Smith too, and the Italian ( northern) lad looked alright.

Good afternoon on the end.
