As an outcider looking in, do you 82ers really want Lansdowne and his millions to sell up and leave?

Or do you just want him to sack LJ?

Be careful what you wish for, fellas. There are worse owners than him out there.
I'm past caring Dan. He's been a total knob head this season. Ignoring the fans calls for change, criticising us for 'being negative' and now this.
As I said, if this is modern football, he can stick it up his arse! If he ignores us this time, I'm done with it and will start watching a local side, maybe Longwell Green sports, they've got a great little set up.
I'm just one of many, if Johnson survives, his lovely stadium will be 1/3 full next season.

I don't want him to sell up and leave, I want him to accept that he can't stay involved with decision making in regards to the playing/team aspect of the club. He's done good things for the club away from the pitch, some people will criticise him for Bristol Sport but the amount of money he's pumped into us he'd never allow us to be in danger financially. He needs to step away and allow someone/a board complete control over footballing decisions.

So you want the club to have access to his money but with someone else spending it? That scenario seems unlikely.

Your problem is both a boon and a curse - he's a fan, and a very wealthy one. He's unlikely to sell up for the money and I imagine him getting that wealthy means he is the sort of man who needs to be in charge - needs the kudos of owning a club.

Can't see how you can square the circle on this one.

I'm not a City fan, but being in the City and obviously having a sort of interest I have an opinion of him.

There are definitely worse owners out there than him but i'd still say he's below average. He's done wonders with that Stadium, his main redeeming quality, it's admittedly an excellent stadium. But even if Nick Higgs had managed to convert us a stadium, he's still have been a useless Chairman, because he didn't have a clue about football.

If Bristol as a City were less of a footballing backwater for mainstream press outlets or if Lansdown were a foreigner, he'd probably have a lot worse reputation. Yes, he's thrown his cash at it and I doubt he'd leave them in the shit. But endless sackings, using the club for another purpose, getting involved in football matters etc. I'm not convinced that City would be any worse off without him or the stadium with the size of the club, its just the expectation is more because he raises the Premiership expectations. That's not a bad ambition to have, don't get me wrong, and he's got the financial clout to get it done, but keeps getting in his own way.

Lansdown has failed, simple as that. If he went I wouldn't be dissapointed. He's spunked money up the wall, hired shit manager after shit manager. Yes he's wrote off debt, but debt he accumulated. We were in a stable financial position when he joined. He's no saviour. Simply has no idea how to run a football club.

We've got a new hand dryer in the toilets as well!
If you didn't piss on your hands you wouldn't have to wash them. The hand dryer money then could have been better spent on upgrading the magnificent Santa grotto.

Are hand dryers more expensive in Swindon? The extra power needed to dry that extra digit can't come cheap.

As much as I would like to believe its a genuine gesture, part of me just has the feeling the club are trying to do some damage control on fan outbursts against the club.

Far too little, far too late. The ONLY was to get the fans back onside is to get rid of the obnoxious, useless little f**k!
I just managed to watch his 'pre beating on Saturday' interview and 'they're embarrassed', 'I care about the club, players and my family' not the bloody fans then fucknuts?
I have never met him but genuinely hate the man for wrecking our club, genuinely hate him!

Given the choice, would you take Zola or Lee Clark over Johnson?

Could they be any worse? They've had success previously so I'd cling to that hope over what we have with the incompetent one.

LJ has been nominated as manager of the month for March - he has to stay now!

And Flint for player of the month... mostly for his goal against Huddersfield I'd presume.
