I'm applauding the fact that we were nowhere near our best, but still ground out a result - and kept a clean sheet against the highest away scorers away from home in the league.

Cheers boys.

I don't understand why Rochdale and Chesterfield sold Done and Doyle respectively. If they hadn't they'd have much better chance of reaching the Play-Offs. Unless they were in financial trouble was there really any need to sell them in January?

Well, we've certainly played better and lost before today. Rochdale are ideally equipped for this league - big, strong and cynical. Certainly think they'd have punished us if they'd brought their shooting boots.

I'm utterly horse now - need a victory cider...

Maybe it's because we don't have money to burn like some other clubs. Ahem.

It's not burning money, he was already your player and unless you were in financial trouble I'm sure you could have waited until the summer. *Sigh* It's the same old digs every time.

It's going to be the same old digs surely? When you can tempt the L1 top scorer from the previous season away from a championship club to come and play for you, begs the question what kind of wage you've given him. Money does talk in every league. It's sad for a club like ours because every single time we have a player who's even half decent they're gone for absolute peanuts.

So yes you do have money to burn compared with us. On the pitch over 180 mins... Well I know which teams was better performance wise, doesn't always work out that way though. Just compare the wages/transfer fees paid for both sets of players though. It's like comparing Man City to Fc United.

What's your point? You lost, get over it. Completely irrelavant how much we spend compared to you.

I'll repeat myself for about the 100th time. Our net spend in the summer was £0, if not very close to it. We actually sold L1's top scorer...

If we sold Baldock last January, we wouldn't have had much of a chance. Selling Done/Doyle was unnecessary, unless the club(s) is having financial troubles.

Why do all other fans get uppity when they play us? We are clearly the best in the league, currently by a significant margin, and that seems to rub a few up the wrong way.

Didn't go today, was at a Corporate Do watching Forest Green Five - Three Southport, but spent the entire second half glued to SSN. On a side note, I am not surprised Rovers are top the Conference, fucking awful standard.

It's completely relevant, today with a more competent front man (done) we would have won, by all accounts he ripped you a new one a few weeks ago, so it is relevant.

You are the best team in the league, no complaints... However if I was to judge on just your two performances against us I would have to have a chuckle about that fact.

Why do you not answer the relevant questions?

I think you would be mighty peeved if the shoe was on the other foot. You didn't do enough to even draw the game today but come away 8 points clear with a 1-0 win.

How much does your squad cost and on what wages?
More than yours, less than Sheff Utd's.

Our crowds are three or four times the size are yours so not sure of your point tbh.

Massive result. We were ducking shocking (that batter Dale) but they couldn't hit a barn door! SC substitutions didn't help. Did nothing to change the game. The ball couldn't stick up top, I would of brought Smith on but hey ho three points will do nicely!

Ofcourse our wage is bigger than Rochdales, they've spent the majority of the last 30 years in the bottom tier. I'm struggling to see what Dale s getting so upset!

My point is the fact we possibly had to sell our best striker has today and many times over the last few weeks hampered any chances we ever had of making the playoffs, hence my comment about not all teams having money to burn. That comment clearly rubs people up the wrong way. Just being honest sorry.

We aren't safe from the drop yet, today's performance suggests we should be... But with finishing of that standard I'm not sure.

FFS Cotts has come out and said you were a tough team to beat, all city fans would agree...
Wtf do you want us to give 3 points back as a good will gesture ? :D

Undeserved but dug in and got the points. 8 clear!

Robbed 4 points of Rochdale. The only side to batter us home and away.

No good asking us how much our players are on, we don't have a clue. everyone else seems to know though so ask them :dk:

This whole money thing is bought up all the time, don't really get why - bigger fan base + bigger stadium = more money to pay better players more wages. No rule breaking, no financial fair play breaking.. That's just the way it is in this league. You crying about how much our players earn doesn't change the result. Instead of calling us lucky, perhaps you should focus your anger towards your incompetent strikers that couldn't score against a barn door.

It's been 'done' to death on our forum, pardon the pun! Many accept it as the norm, many are annoyed with the timing of it all in a time where we are probably the most financially secure we have been, but that depends what you truly believe/know. I've said my bit on the game, I get annoyed post match, sometimes talk utter crap on here but I believe most of what I've said today is relevant.

Main points...
1) We lost, should have won, it happens.
2) thought BC were awful (sorry again)
3) our own failure in front of goal cost us too
4) rueing the fact we sold our best striker for peanuts, even with a slight jealousy towards clubs who do have 'money to burn', I won't pretend otherwise. It makes supporting Dale very frustrating at times. I'm sure Chesterfield feel the same.

Anyway I'm done with squabbling, you won, it's a huge win and you now have a massive 8 point cushion. I'm sure none of you care how 3 points come about. I was irate, I've calmed down but I'm still a little frustrated by the result, I stand by my comments made though, maybe there was a nicer way I could have said it.

Good luck BC for the rest of the season, no doubt from me that you will win the league.

We just couldn't keep the ball today and it was a backs to the wall performance.

But what do you expect when you have played Saturday Tuesday for so long. Last season Crawley had a similar run and lost something like 5 in a row. We just did what we had to and had a bit of luck too.

Rochdale had a lot of possession and should have scored more than once but the longer the game went on, the more comfortable we became. Decent save by Fielding though. To keep a clean sheet against Rochdale who average 2 goals in each game away is decent. We have played 8 games this month, Rochdale just 5 so clearly that will have a massive effect.

Will be very glad once we get to Wembley and get a decent rest. 3 away games in a row now and I reckon we will drop points but the 8 point gap is crucial - especially with most of the teams still having to play each other (so dropped points for all I expect). Once we have done the 3 away games we will have 6 home and just 4 away to go which will help I think.
