This thread wasn't what I expected - Swindon have piped down as they're Automatic push has came to a halt..

Nonetheless, I expect 247 pages of insults and bitter comments after tomorrow's game although, whatever the result.

Bristol win. Bye bye Swindon.
Swindon win. Title is in our hands.
Draw. Best of both worlds.
Great position for a PNE fan.
Let battle commence :box:

Very nervous about tonight, feels like a playoff game with how I feel right now. Or is it that I am so desperate to beat them

It probably has a lot to do with where you live. I used to live in Chippenham & work in Bristol so the games against City & Rovers had more meaning to me than the majority of Town fans who just saw Oxf**d as our rivals.

FWIW, I can't see us winning tonight, a draw would be great result for us

Yeah you arent wrong there it feels like how I felt when we had Rovers last season. 12 years of suffering in Wilts against Swindon needs to be put to bed.

Feeling quite relaxed about this game currently, but I'll be a bag of nerves later I expect!

Swindon missing a few key players? Including a certain Mr Thompson.. Infact both of em! More confident I think after watching their game on Saturday, but anything can happen in the day.

It's a derby game so form goes out the window, hopefully we can make a statment for Preston on the weekend though.

Match postponed due to fear of buttfuck...

Can see us getting rolled over quite badly tonight, all depends if the players heads are right or not.

There's no doubt the game has lost a lot of its edge on our side now autos are fading into the distance. Preston have been shit hot at the right time as well which we can't control.

However City will be determined to make us look silly on the tele again so its imperative Cooper has us well drilled. We need to be up for it.

I personally haven't really given the game a thought since Saturday, and PNE virtually guaranteed a top two finish yesterday as far as im concerned.

3-1 Jet (2) Flint. Obika consolation for Town.

No idea what the result will be tonight. But a win would end any hopes of us messing it up I think. The big one really is Preston away as win that and we win the title.

If anything Preston is a case of must not lose, would hope we'd win but even a draw keeps the gap. Hopefully 3 points tonight but a draw tonight and draw weekend would leave us 6 points up with a better goal difference.

Amazingly, I still don't really care about this one. I think a combination of Saturday's result and City being so far in front of us has seen to that. My one hope is that we don't go there and roll over; as long we give a good account of ourselves and put in a decent performance, I'll be reasonably happy.

This game was anticipated to be a much bigger game months ago than it really is now, with us realistically not competing with Swindon in terms of League Positions anymore.

Not nervous about this one in the slightest.

http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/elliott-recalls-swindon-pain-to-wellred-2381900.aspx

'Elliott admits he felt mugged after City's 1-0 defeat at Swindon Town last November. We were privy to everything that went on behind the scenes and during the game, but after the game we were in a position where we couldn’t say anything because it would look sour.'

Odd feeling surrounding this game, hyped up since November but Swindon's poor form has burst the bubble.

Not really, if they win tonight they'll still go on and on about it. It's just a fair few have gone quiet at the moment as they have nothing to say after losing 3-0 to MK Dons. Hopefully we'll add to their misery.

Thats exactly it, if they had won saturday no doubt Indian Dan, John Locke and Big Kev would have been all over this thread but they have piped down. Tonight if they win they will be all over it again.

Well, this one is laid nicely for a City win.

In terms of morale and spirit, we win that.

Form, we win that too.

Quality, guess what?! We win.

Desire? Got it in the bag, we win again.

Support wise, our is easily better...

Soooooooooo, with all that in mind...

1-1. Swindon win their cup final 2-1 on aggregate.

Well done guys, outstanding effort.

So excited now - but still not nervous.

I'll stick to the 3-1 I predicted earlier in the thread.

Same as the others, was bricking it over the weekend but now just calmly confident. 2-1 City, Flint to score and do a Thompson in front of the Swindle lot!

It's a shame that we have gone on a shit run. As it had the potential to be a brilliant spectacle after all the home match shenanigans. Unfortunately, it's now really only there for City to settle a score or for us to show we haven't completely fucked up our season.

Personally I fear a drubbing tonight. City have shown that they are deserving winners of the title this season, they are clearly pissed off about November, and we are...well, a bit pants at the moment!

I hope we can make a good account, finish any chances that come our way, and for it to be a brilliant game in which the best team wins. Sadly with Cooper thinking he is the tinker master, it is unlikely to happen.

Negative prediction is 4-0 City.
Very hopefully prediction is 3-2 Town.

We won't win. Might sneak a draw as the players might wanna prove something after MK.

Fingers crossed.

I'm actually looking forward to it. City will be more nervous as we're all but out of the auto race and they desperately want the title
