With my sensible hat on, why on earth are we talking about a bloody non league shower of shit on a thread about a game at the top of L1? They will only think they have some semblance of importance.
As for the game, a lot will depend how Swindon react to todays drubbing IMHO. As mentioned before, defend like they did today (I appreciate they were chasing the game but MK could have had 3 in the first half) and there is only one winner.
How big a loss Thompson is for them, I don't know but we will probably play Tavernier in for Little OR possibly play 4-4-2 with Agard wide right and JET partnering Wilbs?
Give Luke Freeman the space you gave MK's midfield today and he will have an absolute field day TBH.
3-1 City.

I think it's more the fact they were pushing numbers forward and got caught on the break, e.g. the second goal, where Swindon's Left Back was caught miles up the pitch, and Grigg had the freedom of the box to pick his spot.

It's worryingly easy to predict though and an unusual curse of having a game with two sides that play good football in their case. Whenever Swindon have to come onto us and attack in numbers, we always seem to open them up and then counterattack without fail through the gaps (usually on the wing). The final half hour of today's match from our point of view was like watching a carbon copy of our home match with them, only with more goals. Swindon shouldn't be that easy to figure out, but they still don't realise they're easing themselves into a noose whenever they find themselves having to come forward and attack.

Gives me plenty of optimism if we both end up in the playoff final though. I think if you copy our tactics today, you should win at least 4-0 and probably more with your better counterattacking players.

That's why I'd fancy Sheff Utd in the PO's. Whilst I think MK and Swindon are much better teams, Sheffield Utd absolutely love sitting back and counter-attacking. It's why they tend to do well in the Cups and against opposition teams away from home. If the onus is on them to attack, they struggle. But that won't be the case in the Play-Offs.

Dunno about Rovers v Swindon but the latter are certainly punching in their current position.

Pretty diabolical medium term run of form from them takes the edge off this and makes Novembers antics almost comical. Still, we need a win to avoid 1 win in 5 which sounds like a mini collapse.

Take 4 points from the next two to almost guarantee promotion and Champions.

JET must start. Will Toffolo and Stephens play? They are on the radar along with that idiot Thompson.

Karleigh Osborne has been recalled to bolster the defensive numbers. Surely Cott's won't change the back 3 now and move Ayling to RWB?

Surely Tavernier will come in at RWB? That's what he was brought here for after all

Yeah agree with that. Seen suggestions to put Ayling, Bryan, Agard even Korey Smith out there, just go like for like. No need to change the system or shove players out of position

Looking forward to this, City fans are desperate for 'revenge', lets make no mistake about that and rightly so. Who can blame them after November's humiliation.

The only humiliation is how irrelevant that win now was, as we're sailing heading towards the title, and your getting stuffed by a club only formed 11 years ago 0-3 at home and are going to be in the playoffs again :)

I don't believe the match on Tuesday decides whether we get revenge. Getting promoted would always have decided that.

Make a good point in regards to the Blades but worth noting we changed tact for our games against them. Especially at Bramall Lane, where we sat back and pinched it.

Is this a fierce Derby or just a mild one?

Never used to be fierce - just this season, as we're competing together etc, and obviously the events of November fueled it, but otherwise - no.

It's nothing like our hatrid for the Non-League forgotten bunch.

I have always hated them, being a Wiltshireman myself, grown up with Swindon fans, never been pleasant towards City.
Shoot me down here but i have always Actually found Rovers fans to be more graceful and that is saying something.

I don't hate Rovers. I think it's because they've provided me with a fair bit of joy, in terms of me laughing at them! Especially over the last year or so.

I wish we could experience more Bristol derbies, personally. I can't remember if I already made a post like this earlier, so sorry if I'm repeating myself. I dislike Rovers, but it's not a hatred. Partly because I can only remember about 5 Bristol derbies and I'm 20! I want us to play them more often.
