Struggling to get a decent team out for this....Santos,Firino, Collins, Dempsey, Gomes and Etete out injured....Morley, Randal and Murphy cup tied and Schon suspended........Is what it is.
Rather go for the play-offs given the choice

Me no, not attended a away game since the pandemic......Good luck and safe travels to all attending
Fair enough. I've stuck to not going this season to a tinpot trophy game this season. This is still the same. Seems like we have opened up another stand so it would appear the club are hoping for a big gate (over 6k is big imo for this trophy game).

It's going to be absolutely Baltic tomorrow night as well. Given what competition it is I don't blame anyone for watching it at home- I know I will be.

I've just checked in on this competition. Oh god a Wrexham Birmingham Wembley final is going to be horrendous if it happens

As a Wrexham supporter, I agree. Imagine being in a stadium with 45000 of them ffs.

Much rather face Bradford. The Phil Parkinson final.

Made hard work of that, but a win is a win.

Bolton the better side for the majority of the game, without ever really looking like scoring.

Looked a lot of empty seats ? What was the attendance?
Can’t blame people for staying at home. It’s a trophy that was boycotted largely by fans.

7591. I don't think the Kop or the upper tier of the Yale were open. There was a late spurt in ticket sales, I think spurred on by the fact Bolton had sold out their allocation.

Blues 2-1 Bradford

First off fair fks to Bradford who gave us more of a game than many of our league one opponents. We were warned over the standard of refs at this level and those warnings of how bad they are were true, same as Saturday just gone.

As i say though fair play to Bradford. Hope Stanno is okay as that looked a sore one. Just checking prices for wembley premier inns as we speak :)

Can't say the prospect of a final against Birmingham excites me that much. We'd be vastly outnumbered and will probably lose.

We're meant to face Wigan away that weekend, which would be a far better experience.

It'd be 4 Wembley defeats in a row for us. I bet there's not many clubs at this level with a record like that.

Would you even go? I haven't been to a single match in this tinpot cup this season or last so have no real desire to go to that hellhole again and watch us get slapped about by Birmingham.

The EFL must be delighted Birmingham are there as obviously they have taken it very seriously on and off the pitch .

Not much to say on the match apart from Bradford being much better than a lot of the teams we've faced in this division so far this season. Blues weren't great but got the job done.

Disgraceful refereeing performance again, 2 absolute stonewall penalties denied one of which Bradford scored from the counter and he missed Allsop getting elbowed in the face, but I'm used to it now so not much point in moaning.

A referee not awarding Stansfield his token penalty???

That's him relegated to non league then.

I saw that incident. Didn't look a penalty to me. Certainly in the 50-50 category.

Pfft. We did four in the space of two years in the early 90s

No. I'll go if we get to the play off final but not for this trophy. If we beat Peterborough I'll watch Birmingham hammer us on TV.

You'd still take a decent amount though wouldn't you? Tonnes of day-trippers on these kinda games and first time back there since the crowds supercharged.

When we won it in 2018, we took c30k but that was also our first time ever at Wembley (PO Finals were at Cardiff when we got there twice).

Whatever the other team don’t sell we will happily take them off your hands. We’d have no issues selling 50-60k tickets of they were given to us.

yeah, I'd have thought that, would presumably get a bunch of Yank tourists as well there for the "Wxm phenomenon" (not a knock by the way, every team going to Wembley will pull daytrippers, it's just how it is).

Have to give props to Mansfield for keeping it real and bowing out in the group stages like any self respecting club. Some embarrassing levels of enthusiasm and attendances in here. League 1 slugs.

Your "protest" doesn't work and only harms the clubs you support.

If you want the u21 teams out the only way to do it is to take it seriously and give them a pasting every game. The PL clubs won't see any merit in entering then.
