Awesome, didn't think they were ever gonna put one of our matches with Lincoln on. Christmas away from home can be a bit shit, but this being on over the festive period is something to look forward to for sure.

Highly predictable post from a Grimsby fan - and you just beat me to it...!
We are expecting a harsh winter as well apparently - so there will also be the chance of the wrong kind snow in the vicinity of the A46. M and S in Lincoln could also run out of thermal underwear.

I'm happy though as I'm away over Christmas but will be able to find somewhere to watch it now.

There's no way I'm going back to Grimsby on my day off, so the TV will have to do.

Gateshead are currently a mid-table nothing side with a lower-mid-table following. No offence intended but you aren't prime TV material.

Yes the bigger clubs get on more often. No it's not overly fair, but it does make commercial sense. People want to see the title challengers/big names face eachother. People want to see the new clubs (i.e. Guisely). Gateshead don't have the media footprint.

Guisley are worse supported than gateshead with a sparse ground, macclesfield n kidderminster was hardly top of table. All shown by bt sport. Even when gateshead were rideing near top with bigger following they still weren't on. Whats there policy, surely every club has to be shown at least once at home. If not they are been a little bias. I know sky show man u, liverpool, arsenal, chelsea, man city most weeks but at least other teams are shown once or twice at home regardless of where they lie in table, fan base etc. Is same in championship. Bt even showed welling v altrincham, ahaon not top teams and lower than gateshead at the time. Only excuse for bt must be they are biased southern tossers

Don't get him started with his conspiracy theories again. He'll forget the play off games and cry that Celtic get games with running tracks televised but European giants Gateshead don't.

It's come out tonight that we rejected the opportunity for our game against FGR to be on BT Sport. deciding that we would lose more than the £7k they'd pay us by moving the game to a Thursday, with all the hospitality boxes sold out for the Saturday already.

That would have seen us be on 3 times in the first 4 months of the season. More times than we were shown live in 16 years in the Football League (not including playoff games)

Have they announced any other games do you know. I'm hoping to spend a couple of days in The Cotswolds when we play FGR and the cheap train tickets become available soon but don't want to book them only to find the games been moved to the Friday night.

So we will have officially been on telly more times this season than the 16 years we were in the Football League (for regular season games).

Quite happy with this because there was no chance of me going to Dover.

Nothing confirmed yet but I'm hearing whispers that our game at FGR on 5th March is being moved to the Friday night.

4 games in 8 days over Easter, being announced at 3pm today. Cheltenham v Grimsby looks nailed on.

No change in ours, we re-arranged that ages ago.

It was showing as the only Good Friday game ahead of Easter Monday, which is weird because a few Clubs usually change.

Pretty inevitable really. Would have prefered it to be a late or early ko on the Saturday or a Sunday game, but I like Cheltenham as a place, so an excuse for a Friday night stopover.

Can't see Rovers v Imps as a good choice. By the time of the game, it could be a meaningless mid-table clash.
