A frankly needless amount of changes throughout the team ,it was almost scatter gun in the eleven he opted for to start this game. I'm pleased we accrued another three points ,but the injury to Gomez would 'in all probability' never have occurred if he had played CB ,it just seemed pointless moving him simply to accommodate the less than switched on Matip.
As for the game itself ,I don't believe you can reproach Burnley for their mindset ,I mean when all is said and done they're currently involved in a dog fight and fighting for their proverbial lives so showing a modicum of fight is the least they can proffer the club and its supporters .
I thought Keita was brilliant last night and his composure ,tenacity and skill on the ball is something that will benefit our misfiring attack ,although imo his threat was somewhat nullified by the lack of invention with the midfield the manager opted to accompany him with.
Still ,another three vital points and still close enough to capitalize on should City drop any points or experience a fall in the form they're enjoying at the minute.

Yeah we needed to see that from Keita. All the new signings have showed something positive, and besides the West Ham game and Palace away, Keita really hasn't. Hopefully he can kick on now and become the player we all reckon he can be.

He's still adjusting to the pace of this league but I've no qualms whatsoever once he adapts fully and is integrated into our first choice eleven he will show his undoubted ability. Sometimes its worth the patience afforded to see a player evolve into the monster you know he will become.

Yeah agree, I'm patient with players usually, and know this is a long-term project with him so am willing to give him time to get fully motoring along. Same with Fabinho, its taken time for him to adapt and he's had his iffy moments, but we can now see that he is beginning to learn what is being asked of him, and is starting to adapt. Both will be key players for us moving forward.
