OK, am I just being a bit thick? But how were all the Sky pundits trying to say that the (non) offside call was correct? It looked like both players were in an offside position.

Or do I need to go and read the laws of the game again?

Difficult to get a good screen shot but got this

As our number 21 plays the ball, can't see the ball very well in the picture because its wrong side. Vincelot and Johnson (hiding behind the keeper in the photo) are both level or behind the football when played, therefore not offside even if they are ahead of Burton defenders.

Fantastic day out and win, even if our second was a bit dubious. This team is so good to watch when we click. Never seen a dull game this season.

Thought Tudgay was great today as was Vincelot. Starting to lose faith in Burge and Reda gives me nightmares!

2nd with 6 games gone. I am really looking forward to the next game now.

For 90% of the game Reda is brilliant, but he has these moments of madness where he throws strikers to the floor.

Tudgay was superb today. Had a fair few good games for us now.

Reading this and other threads, it really seems as though Coventry fans are the most confident bunch in league 1.
I can't wait to see them, they really do sound something special.

I'd say we're as confident as other fans would be if they were second in the table.

Since relegation from the Premier League:

Championship: 11th, 20th, 12th, 19th, 8th, 17th, 21st, 17th, 19th, 18th, 23rd

Since relegation from the Championship:

League 1: 15th, 18th, 17th

Average finishing position = 19th.

Now we have a realistic chance of doing well this year. Why shouldn't we be happy or confident? This is the best chance I can remember in my lifetime for a top 6 finish.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be Dion.
I suppose it is just an alien concept to me.
At Gills we are happy when things are going well, but never, ever, ever confident.
I don't even think it goes back to the play off game against Man City when we were 2-0 up with 90 minutes gone and still lost on penalties. It started long before then, as long as I can remember in fact.
Just to prove the point, we are currently top of the league and on our forum this morning someone has put 'the best thing is we are 10 points clear of relegation'.

If we lose next saturday, our fans will all go suicidal again so don't worry.

I'm not confident at all, not yet at least. We're only 6 games into the season. I still remember being 4th in December and finishing 19th in the Championship.

Oh don't worry we will be back down to usual 19th before November. We always start of the season well then fall down and never get back up.

I also remember being in the play offs at this point last year then we all know what happens next in the existence of Coventry City.

Every club will have fans that get carried away. As a whole we're not. The difference is this season, we are playing well (sometimes not but), winning games. I don't think that can be underestimated, we're actually attacking teams.

Typically whenever we win I'm still looking down rather than up and best thing about it, we are 9 points off relegation!

I'm just enjoying the ride, games when we go a goal down I believe we can get back into it. When we don't win, we are still putting a good performance which is great to watch. PUSB!

9 different goal scorers in 6 games. Last year and most years we were just relying on Wilson/Clarke/Samuel to score the bulk of our goals, now everyone is contributing!

Would be about time, wouldn't it?

We are staying up on the last day of the season narrowly drawing 1-1 with Oldham and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Tony Mowbray will get sacked and we will appoint Darren Ferguson.
