I don't see him going before January. Whoever comes in will still have the same players, and going by what I've read on here, it's more stupid errors than actual poor tactics or struggling to get the player's up for it. There's little else a manager can effect. I also think Vince will give him the credit from getting them up.

The mistakes are one factor but it's often because the players involved are under pressure. The squad Cooper has assembled simply isn't good enough. I think a lot depends on if we can stay in touch with the 22nd place side. If so, I suspect he'll keep his job until the end of the season.

If FGR keep losing and end up five or six points adrift , it's hard to believe Cooper will be immune from the sack.
I'm really struggling to think of a bottom four League 2 side that hasn't changed managers during the season over the last couple of years.

I was thinking about you lot, but Johnson always kept you afloat and just about clear of the fray last season.
But you did go through four managers in the relegation season a couple of years before.

We were bottom for long periods and in the bottom 4 all season, eventually finishing 4th from bottom. Johnson was never in any danger of the sack though, especially when the heart situation.

I take your point about it being very much against the run of the mill though.

Yes most of our losses are down to individual errors but and it is a big BUT Cooper's teams don't seem to have a back-up plan to minimize risks when that happens.
All too often we see our players lose mid-field possession and thereupon our opponents race unchallenged to our goalmouth area and score winning goal.
Cooper is a decent manager in many ways. He go us promoted last season and got Swindon to the play off final a few years ago, but his PR stinks. He has a fragile ego.
When manager of Swindon and here the TNL, he has had journalists/newspapers banned from the press area because they were doing their legitimate job of analysing his team.
In his post match interviews he will publicly 'name and shame' individuals who he claims had a bad match. So much for their own self esteem!
But his latest interview takes the biscuit. He claims: I can't protect people any more. There are sticks flying and they've got to stand up and be counted."
Notice how Cooper does not include himself.
There is a start of a bandwagon amongst the FGR supporters to change manager. I think it too early in season and want him to stay until at least other side of New Year when a clearer picture will emerge. A couple of wins would dramatically change everything..

Not sure if it was him that banned the Swindon Advertiser, especially given that the chief sports writer at the time the paper was banned, Matt Edwards, has recently been employed as media manager at FGR! Doubt he would have been appointed if there was previous with Cooper, he certainly seemed happy enough to be interviewed by him for FGR TV?

Coincidences seem to follow MC.
The PR for both Swindon & FGR were both released, and nobody did a better job than Joycie at TNL.

Not what majority of FGR fans believe.
Joycie was informed that MC was not happy with him and a week later he was gone.

That's not what I heard....

Have you started to get your hearing back now Joycie's gone?

Don't get me wrong, the lad knows his stuff, and I've been impressed with his show he does with JP from the Echo, but the way he screeched into the microphone when you scored was painful to the ears.

I'm intrigued by what's going on with Ecotricity as a whole (well, I'm being nosey). My sister has recently been made redundant due to restructures and whatnot, but she claims there was no sign of it coming at all, it was all very sudden. Now there's the change to the whole Eco-park at Jct 13 of the M5. From the outside, it would appear all is not rosey, but then I may be completely wrong.

The club claimed his job had changed and he must apply for new position. But that was after he was told of MCs opinions.
MC told Joycie his going had nothing to do with him.
