On paper, this looks like it wont be a classic. Cambridge will tighten up after shipping 4 at Newport and we can't score. 1-1 looks a good bet.

Cambridge seem to be fairly poor so far, they don't seem to have improved much since the end of last season whereas we have, so can't see this game being anything like last years pathetic surrender at the Abbey.

Our record at Cambridge is pretty shit, we did once win 1-0 there to help derail their title charge the year Burton nearly collapsed but other then that can't remember us getting much there.

They used to have this right bellend of an mc who went on the pitch and tried to get the crowd going, around the time they were doing that "Bounce, Bounce Amber Army" cringey shite (t-shirts and everything). Don't think he's there anymore, which is good. Not sure if the free range cows are though. Didn't see them last year.

I won’t have anyone say anything against Bounce Bounce Amber Army. That was a chant of ingenious in depth lyrical quality.

I’m super disillusioned with the club and team at the moment. I think I was more in tune with the club when we were on the verge of relegation to regional football. We aren’t beyond uninspiring, it’s utter shite.

I’ll be there tomorrow night after my self-imposed exile from the Mansfield game. I’m going as much for the social as I’m the match. It’ll be a shite game and I fully expect us to lose.

4-0 to the mighty U’s.

Only one win and 4 points since my last match 6 weeks ago. Popped on the Forum and soon got out of there - even Colin's all doom and gloom.

Untainted by all that, I can see scope for goals and at least a point from a backs-to-the-wall up-and-at-them display from our best 11 and super subs. We love scoring goals against FGR and they love conceding them.

0-2 in front of a seething 3,600 plus a taxi full (well maybe 107) from Nailsworth.

Welcome back Alan, and I hope you had a great time in S.A. (Bolivia right?) Thing is I reckon you're still feeling the after effects of SA's finest export if you think there'll be 3500 U's fans ;) I haven't decided yet on how many will bother to turn up - for the prediction league on Moosenet - but I think something like 3000-3200 is a far more likely figure. I'll be amazed if the number's higher than 3300. Sad times indeed but I can understand why some fans have decided to stay away from the Abbey for the foreseeable future.

Result wise, I haven't got the foggiest. I didn't have any doubts at all on Saturday after that pathetic display at Newport, I was sure FGR were going to beat us, but there has to be a reason why they seemingly can't turn draws into wins. I can only hope they don't discover the answer to that little dilemma tonight.

1-1 draw (Brown* for the U's) with 3346 in attendance.

*though hopefully it will be Jabo :ffs:

Our form is consistent, although we played badly by all accounts against Macclesfield on Saturday. A positive outcome could depend on our players having a positive response and give it proper good bollocking tonight! Still dubious where the goals are coming from!

I'm sure Cambridge will be looking to win this.

Nearly time to Tune-in.

Played well first half, sloppy goal to give away though. FGR didn't seem particularly intent on trying to get a positive result so far but our defence is definitely there for the taking.

Well played FGR, thoroughly deserved in the second half, should have been more.

Dunne has to go tonight, we're in serious trouble, and he shouldn't be the only one.

Just well done to our boys. Sounds like we controlled the second half. Scoring three or more goals away from home for the third time out of six. That's decent.

Still doing it. Onto to Saturday and Newport at home. Should be a very tight game.

Excellent! I'm on a sleeper train in the middle of China, was going to attempt to wake up for the commentary on patchy data but slept through. But the lads did it somehow without my tenuous distant support.
Sounded like it might have panned out different if Us had made more of their first half.

My Cambridge supporting father in law not happy at all tonight, wants Dunne gone as well as saying the new board are totally out of touch with the fans to a worrying extent.

Apparently less than 3k Cambridge fans there tonight as well according to him which is a real concern. Plenty of time to turn it around, cant imagine going to be non league after things seemed to going in the right direction for a good while.

I hate those. Always end up next to some fatty snoring like a pig.

As I said the other day, I am beginning to hate our players, I think there’s only a couple I like. We are so shit it’s unbelievable. I’m truly looking for two basket cases to bail us out, our only hope at the moment.

You have my sympathy, that is how we were last season...fortunately there were, but only just!

Started shaky but once we got going we were good. Peach of a goal from Grubby, and Tav was on fire they couldn't handle him.

Cambridge started well and knocked it about nicely at times, but the longer the game went on their heads went down and after that nailed on red for Carroll they were all over the place. We could have had 5 or 6.

11 unbeaten, up to 5th. Happy with that.
