Richard Money’s foul-mouthed scattergun rant was indiscriminate.

His X-rated words showered a group of children, a number of older home supporters and a stunned Christian Burgess.

It even prompted the interruption of post-match interviews with Paul Cook, Pompey’s boss swivelling round to catch a glimpse of the chaotic spectacle occurring behind.

A belligerent member of Money’s coaching staff had admirably succeeded in physically restraining the U’s manager, dragging him away from the crowded touchline and onto the Abbey Stadium pitch.

Yet there was no silencing the torrent of abuse cascading upon the ears of those nearby.

Also if yourselves had controlled the game in the first half as much as you had I guess they must have got the stats wrong at the BBC who showed you having 1 shot ( 1 on target ) and ourselves having 7 ( 5 on target ).

Granted I wasn't there but from the radio it seemed a pretty even game in the first half. How we cheated though I don't know, seen the "scuffle" a few times and something must have happened in the tunnel because I didn't see anything worthy off a red card even the comical shove to the ground. Our assistant should have gone for the throat grab and which he did.

Not saying it's right or wrong, but it does seem you're reading what you choose to read. Prior to your last post about "mugging", no one had said anything in the way you seemed to take it.

Just sayin', cause although I wasn't there either, the verdict all round seems to be Roberts is a cockgobbler, and Pompey are the best side we've seen. Nothing too traumatic.

Also, in relation to Tubbs, I'm sure it's double figures now. He got a couple against in the Trophy too, if my memory isn't failing me. He's an absolute bane of our lives.

We controlled the first half not because we had something like 70% possesion and some 10 shots on target, but only because we had a very good 20-25 mins and after going one nil up we controlled your side quite well. Tbh, Pompey only threatened after our goal with two feeble routine shots which our keeper safely gathered(as he should). So I fail to see where those BBC 7 shots, 5 on target come from. But that's not the point. The point is your players didn't look dangerous after we had taken the lead.

Now I'm not naive enough to say we would have got 1 or 3 points if our skipper wasn't sent off, as after all football is quite unpredictable, but the dismissal surely played a big part in the final result.

Fwiw, I think Roberts was correctly sent off, so I have no qualms about that decision. Very stupid and unprofessional of him to interfere. The Pompey players and staff could have protested all they liked at HT, the ref gave the goal and he wasn't going to change his mind. Roberts should have walked to the dressing room with the rest of his team mates.

While I respect everyone's opinion, I don't agree with all this Pompey's the best side we've seen. I think people are forgetting the fact that any decent side playing a side with 10 men will have most of the ball, and the only way to open up deep sitting opponents is with ball passing. Just like Luton and Wycombe did then.

The fact that we are passing through a bad spell made the job easier for Pompey. Like I said before, I'll watch Pompey another time, and it could well be a live game on the box, and then decide if they're really that good. I suspect they are, but yesterday's showing isn't ideal for judgement.

Luton fans need to worry more about their own side then to waste their time worrying about that shit manager Richard Money.

Fuck off, what do you expect down to 10 men against the best footballing side in the league? We had a 1-0 lead which we tried to protect. The boys were out on their feet with 15 mins to go.

Money had every right to feel hard done by today because the Pompey bench were an absolute disgrace. That hobbit of an assistant manager should hold his head in shame but instead ran on the pitch at full-time like he'd got the winner. Well he did because he got Roberts sent off.

Surely you could see that but maybe you were on holiday still?
Don't you dare tell me to fuck off, that's bang out of order. Take that back and apologise please or I put in a complaint to the mods of this behaviour. I've never had that on a message board before, let alone from a fellow Cambridge fan.

I stand in the Habbin, the Roberts incident at half time took place right in front of me. The Portsmouth coach ran over to the officials, yes in a provocative manner. But Roberts totally lost it, completely unacceptable behaviour from an experienced professional. Not saying Pompey's coach (or keeper for that matter) were inexcusable but you cannot react like that an expect it to go unpunished. And it sounds like Roberts continued his impeccable behaviour in the tunnel at half time. Roberts cost us the win yesterday.

With regards to the second half, yes I agree we were always going to be up against it but we are a side that has so far succeeded in losing 2 games from drawing/winning positions by sitting back with 10 men. Doing so again was clearly a flawed tactic.

We also often had Corr so deep that we had no outlet at all so the ball came back just as quick as we cleared it. It was so obvious.

Donaldson lost the ball way out of position and they capitalised for the 2nd, another individual error. I'll cut Legge some slack on the first.

The 3rd goal was farcical. Granted it was a freak moment to send the ball on to the bar but the lack of movement from any defender to beat Tubbs to the ball (or even challenge him) was shocking.

Aside from that I felt there was a distinct lack of heart in the second half yesterday. Yes I know it was tough a and I know Corr us coming back from injury but I actually felt for the first time in the Money era that the 2nd half efforts from some players were not at 100%.

I was so disappointed by that performance, it was poor tactically, both collectively and individually, and the fight wasn't there like we've seen before.

And to address your final question, I was there yesterday after missing one home game and I have attended 7 games so far, 5 home and 2 away. I wouldn't say that makes my opinion irrelevant or whatever you're trying to imply.

We've appealed against the red card to Evans. Didn't see that coming.
