Leon's Clarke's impressive form at Wigan has seen him fly up in the 'famous Leon' ranks. He is 22nd in the all time 'Leon of the World' award, just getting ahead of 68 year old Leon Krier. Still he has a long way to go to get on par with the next footballer on the list, with Leon Britton sitting in a healthy 13th position.

Dicked 3-0 at home to Charlton, 11,000 fans on with a cheap ticket offer...

They're fucked aren't they?

Well for pre-season favorites, i'm completely stunned.

Surprised Mackay is still there, but I'm aware a lot of it is out of his hands, due to previous ongoings with players signed etc, before he joined the club.

If the worst came to the worst, he's one hell of a manager to have in League One.

To be fair, they must still be an extremely cash rich club, it's not like they have a dodgy owner or anything, Whelan bank-rolled them in the first place.

Based on what? He's done very little barring Cardiff and lacks experience at that level.

Based on what he achieved at Cardiff, and how well he'd done under the circumstances there, with the Malaysian Clown at the head of it all.

I'm sorry, but if they do go down, Mackay would be a fantastic manager to have in League One.

They won't keep him if they go down, I'm surprised he's not gone yet tbh.

Had no issue with Wigan until that twat was appointed, looks like justice will be done come the season's end.

Makes it even worse that we lost to them last week. They were awful, just we were at our horrific worse.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Blackpool overtook them.

Wasn't there but from what I've heard it sounds pretty similar to what Mark said, first 15 minutes Wigan were the better team but once they went 1-0 down they had no response.

Serves them right but I'm sure they will all enjoy the rugby today anyway.

When I watched them, They looked so poor at the back, When Clayton Donaldson scores a hat trick against you at championship level you know you're shit. I think they could struggle next season as well.

Would love to see Wigan and Fulham go down, two tinpot clubs who don't deserve to be in the top 2 divisions.

I just said this elsewhere, Fulham/Wigan were the original 2 lower league clubs which vastly inflated the wage demands of lower league players by spending lots to shove themselves into the top flight on one man's money.

to see both currently collapsing back to their pre-spending levels is quite enjoyable.

How come NONE of their supporters on TFF made it to this forum? Are they now on some fucking Rugby League forum somewhere? ffs

I can see Wigan sliding straight out of League 1 into the Bananarama and playing clubs like Carlisle, Dover and Pompey.

Wigan will do alright for a few years in League One purely because they'll have parachute payments which will give them a massive advantage over other teams in League One.

Can't see them ever being back in the Prem though, they had to get up in these first few attempts. I think they'll stabilise as a lower League One club now.

They might as well move Wigan to Milton Keynes and get it over and done with.

He'll probably blame stepping down on the broken leg he suffered in the 50's.... every single interview it's like a trip down memory lane to the days when Marilyn Monroe was queen of the cinema..
