I haven't been able to get on this site for over a week. I just get a connection time out message. I presumed the site was down as every other website works correctly but here I am now accessing on my iPhone. Anyone know what's up???

This website loads slower than any other I visit.

RIP speed internet surfing.

Really bizarre. For a couple of weeks I've been getting the following screen when I visit this site. I've tried different browsers all with similar results.

Because every other site I visit worked normally, I thought the site was down when it was in fact working fine. Yet now I'm using some USA proxy server and can access fine??

Sorry, I did speak to Blitz in the shoutbox earlier. That looks like it's some sort of DNS problem to me, but that is massively above my station to be honest.

Other than the clearing cache, history etc - I'd be clueless. Have you tried it on different browsers or different browsers on different devices?

I'm sure AFCB_Mark will have a look tomorrow if he gets a spare minute. As I say, that's way above my station.

Hey Blitzballer I can see you've been connecting on all sorts of random American IP addresses in recent days, can also see a couple of UK addresses but if you're not actually connecting to the site in the first place it won't get recorded! But of the two UK addresses, one looks to be a mobile phone, the other Virgin broadband, does that sound correct to you?

Please give http://ping.eu/nslookup/ a try on both your normal and proxy connection. You should notice at the top the "Your IP" will change when you proxy. Stick onefootballforum.co.uk in the host name name, and see what IP address it returns. For both connections, it should say "onefootballforum.co.uk has address 94.76.219.227".

Close that, then open a command window by going start - run - cmd
run_cmd.jpg

When the black box comes on screen, just type what I have:
nslookup onefootballforum.co.uk
hit enter

Again it should return the correct address as below:

That's the internetz address that we like to call home. Hopefully that all checks out ok?

Good.

No idea, default answer would be blame your ISP, Virgin, but could be anything.

I'm sure he'll be back to have his say soon. Inevitably over the course of 16 paragraphs.

Made my retort in the shoutbox and Ian ran away anyway. I think he must really miss Brian (Lib).

instead of being a moany little bitch like some of our more miserly, northern friends. and instead of getting into a mud slinging match with prag and pragette up there, i'd once again like to remind any admin perusing this thread about carel's inability to log onto this forum and the fantastic contribution he has made to this community, a contribution not everyone is capable of
