Not any more. The target has picked up an injury at his parent club so that deal is dead in the water.

Interesting that Chris Lumsdon says according to his former agent we are offering players good deals to join us and they are turning us down because of the location. I know whenever location comes up the fans say it's just an excuse, but Lumsdon is normally the one accusing those connected with the club of coming up with excuses rather than providing them.

I think he's quality. He did well in the loan spell at us before we got him permanently and it's fair to say it took him a few matches to get back up to speed with us after rejoining. But he's such a classy player. Got pace and power and is a very skillful dribbler of the ball. There was a time in the second half yesterday where he beat about 4 Carlisle players before he was finally stopped by their last man. I'm looking forward to seeing him next season even more when he gets a full pre season under his belt.

and that is why we should try for once to appoint someone from the scottish leagues with a good managerial record who would have vast knowledge of the scottish leagues and players abilities.

its our biggest and best market and yet since i started going in 1988 i've never yet seen us as a club try a scottish manager and see how it went.

yep it could be a disaster, it hasn't worked at some other clubs, but can t be much worse than a constant stream of managers who attract weak cast-offs or unsuited youth players.

i still say we should have appointed Derek Adams, or even now could appoint Allan Johnston.....someone with a good record who knows the Scottish football leagues.
