Carlisle to lose without scoring, have no shots on goal, give away a penalty and have at least one player sent off. Luton will not have even have to turn up for this one!

Carlisle 0-4 Luton.

Think I read the other day we've had 6 shots on target in the last 4 matches. Will we manage to get any tomorrow? Probably not. Like I've said a few times there's not enough goalscorers in our squad, and the current injury list only makes it worse. Luton are so inconsistent and I can't see them going up automatically, so I'd have been confident if we hadn't completely collapsed from Christmas onwards.

It'll be a comfortable win for Luton, we won't score (or even come close) and they won't have to work at all for their goals. If they score early, it could really be 4, 5 or 6. If not, it'll be another 3-0 drubbing. It won't be enjoyable watching Hylton take the piss with our defence.

There's a protest against the board planned before the match, and hopefully throughout, but they won't even care.

4-0

We've got a bit of a problem as Scott Cuthbert is injured who is a major loss for us now, not something I thought I'd be saying this time last season. At least our rejig of the back 4 is enforced this time rather than from tinkering.

I think we will win as winning only gets us close again rather than potentially pushing us into a top 3 spot so it's not as high pressure.

Don't worry as long you have at least one player with both his legs, you'll score.

I'm going one worse than Carver and Cufc17.

Carlisle 0-5 Luton

This current team is worse than last season. No way we'd have lost 4 in a row without scoring a year ago, we didn't take as many hidings either.

I know you lot are from another country, but at times it seems you're from a different planet!!
We don't have the guile nor the leadership to put you to the sword .
I reckon on a dull scoreless draw up in Scotland!!

Neither did Cambridge. You don't need guile or leadership or any quality to put us to the sword. If you lack creativity, we'll do it all for you, all you have to do is take a few of the clear chances we'll give you.

Again opposition fans really don't realise just how shite we actually are. You have to see it to believe it.

A protest? Oh well it's a nailed on win for us now!

Whenever we protest to the board we end up winning so all the shambles of the club is forgotten again until the next run of defeats, letting the board of the hook again for the umpteenth time.

Leadership needed to beat us?? :pmsl:

Yes Oak we are in Scotland where it is much safer and prettier up here than the hellhole you live in!

Living in Luton would be a nightmare for me.

Yeah I can't really overstate that Cambridge were pretty poor themselves on Saturday and had we done anything right then we should have been winning that one 2 or 3 nil ourselves.

So other than Wyke, which player have we lost in the past twelve months that has weakened us? The only area I feel we're really weaker is strength in depth... particularly in defence. We have better players just fewer of them.

I was meaning more in performance. Currently this team is performing worse than anything I saw from us last season. Do you agree?

I think we have a few better players (Jones, Adams & Liddle despite his indifferent start) but that's pretty much it.

I don't think Shaun Miller, Devitt, Lambe, Brisley etc have been an improvement on the likes of Gilliead, Hope, Asamoah (last seasons version) Ellis. And Tom Miller is definitely shitter than he was last season.

So yeah at the moment the team is worse than at any time last season. I've just looked and believe it or not we didn't even lose 2 games in a row last season never mind 4 or 5!

We can blame strength and depth to some extent. Yeah we have a lot of injuries at the moment, but this level of shiteness has been going on for over 2 months and for now of this time we've only really had 2 players out injured (Jones and Grainger). I remember saying after I got back from Colchester how shit we are and how it's looking like we'll drop like a lead balloon. That was at the beginning of January.

You did score three against us, it was just they were all disallowed. I sensed that you had a twenty-twenty five minute period to get a goal, and once you did not your heads went down, so it was a confidence as much as an ability thing.

Can't think of a single match in recent times where our entire fanbase are expecting defeat as much as tonight.

Genuinely think there was more expectancy of a result going into the Everton and Liverpool matches last season than this.

Honestly I wouldn't say this is the most expecting of defeat I have been, I just have this feeling that with Luton being a good team and it being a Tuesday night we may beat them just as we beat Doncaster.

We had most players fit and available against Doncaster. The number of injuries plus no confidence and lack of form had made a massive negativity among our fans

Looking at it, Jones must be confident we can dominate the ball and play a bit. That midfield is real powder puff, not a ball winner in there at all.

As already said above the return of Lee is a sick joke but also the continued appearance of O'Donnell and Potts over Justin and Senior defies all logic. Fair to say that team selection has gone done like a lead balloon with Luton fans.

Just have to hope that Carlisle's struggles are bad enough that even with that line up Luton can still get the win.

Not quite true.
He has been out injured for a few weeks, and this is the first game of his 'comeback'. It is standard for the first game to be Lge 2, and he also has a lower league game on Sat.
As an aside, he is the most disliked referee amongst fellow referees.

Awful team selection, pathetic result against a team there for the taking, auto promotion chances gone, lots and lots of questions for Jones to answer. Not a happy camper.
