At one point we one of our centre halves smashed the ball out into our end and the Lino gave you a throw in for what was a clear corner :fl:

Amazingly the BBC gives possession as 51% CUFC 49% MTFC.

The Civil Aviation Authority must have had a good 35% of the possession, yet the so called 'BBC' don't record it!

Agree with most said above. We edged it, but overall, two poor sides for the majority.

Referee was generally poor, and I'm certain it was a pen, but luckily it didn't matter in the end.

Potts was ineffective today, and Amoo was much better when he came on. I think Kearns would be a better option for the next game, a proper winger who can run at their full back.

Happy with the 'deserved' 3 points though, just need to be more consistent to move away from the drop zone, but the next few games look tough.

By the way, the guy who writes the Mansfield match reports, Martin Shaw, does us a massive disservice in his report from today's game.

I refer specifically to this comment:
After some attention for Blair, he was stretchered off with a large majority of home fans still chanting “cheat, cheat, cheat” at him. It was the most disgraceful display I have possibly ever witnessed from a home crowd

This is just pure fabrication,

Now I wouldn't be surprised if there were fans who accused Blair of having dived when he went down, before it became clear he was genuinely injured, but this is something that happens at all grounds and I'm sure there have been times when Mansfield fans have accused a player of diving only for it to turn out he was badly injured. The thing is players go down under no challenge with injuries like this quite rarely, so when we see him go down, close enough to a Carlisle player that maybe it looked like he was trying to win a foul, and with Carlisle about to break on goal, the natural assumption is it was a bit of gamesmanship, we see that more often than we do season threatening injuries.

After about 15 seconds the crowd went silent and it was clear a stretcher was going to come on for him, I heard nothing said apart from a few utterances of 'looks like he really is hurt' and 'could be his season over'. Were there one or two still chanting cheat at him as he went down the tunnel? I don't know as I wasn't close enough to hear if there was anything being said down that end of the ground. I would certainly have noticed if 'a large majority' were chanting cheat.

I can't believe that someone could be genuinely mistaken into thinking they were hearing 3000 people chanting cheat when in fact there was just a quietish hubbub, so I'm left with the conclusion that it was a deliberate and malicious lie, concocted to paint the Carlisle fans as inhuman monsters so as to fit the general theme of his article, which is one of the grave injustice served to Mansfield today by a team of thugs in a stadium that Galatasaray fans would tremble in fear at entering, all aided by a referee paid off by the home team.

He makes one further comment about a lone fan who shouted an obscenity at him summing up the majority of Carlisle fans. I dread to think what awful thing must have happened to him as a child on a trip to Carlisle that has given him such a dim view of the city, its football team and its inhabitants.

Astounded to learn that this guy actually works for BBC Radio Nottingham.

Hello all....

Long time no see.

As for us, meh, we are buggered unless we sort something out asap.

Yesterday was a prime example of us under Murray, take the lead, concede and then fall apart, we simply can't keep doing this.

Good win for Carlisle, much needed - but we need wins asap

Two absolutely embarrassingly shit teams. The fact we couldn't be Carlisle confirms to me that we will go down.

In fairness to him he does travel from Kent for every home and away game. I would of thought what he is saying is true to an extent but possibly is blowing it out of proportion.

Time to get yesterday out of our heads and go again next Saturday. Going to be a intense finish.

I don't reckon we'll go down based on the Wycombe and Exeter games but someone needs to go into that dressing room and give their heads a shake. They can't keep crumbling like this.

No, seems out of favour at the moment with Sutton and Elder in the full back roles. I would think that we would keep him with limited numbers unless we receive a decent offer.

Reason I ask is there's a whisper from a couple of people that he's coming back here tomorrow, probably on loan.

Carlisle win shock. Is it true that your players are so fucking terrified of Curle that nobody dares to play badly?

Well a lot of them dare to play badly, on a regular basis including yesterday.

If anything that was the problem under Kav. I don't know what Curle is like behind the scenes, he certainly seems to take no prisoners but a couple of former players were happy when Kav left.

Erm, where were you at?

There was plenty of stick going his way from the Paddock and the seats upstairs, rightly so aswell - soft git.

I don't see why he cares about your fans chanting cheat or whatever. It's football, these things happen. Alot of our fans did the same when Benson went off on a stretcher at Luton. I'm sure he broke his leg?

Knee ligaments, just our bloody luck.

6-9 months out. We probably don't have any loans left to use to replace him either.
