That was fucking dreadful.

We looked like a really tired, clueless football team today.

Defensively it was an improvement on last week, but our overall play was worse. Very little quality in the final third, scored off a set piece as we weren't going to score any other way. Attacking play was complete opposite to last week.

Liddle looked decent, but still think we need him in midfield. We've stopped dominating that area and that's a big reason why we don't win games anymore and look vulnerable.

Looking over our shoulders now. Teams have games against in hand and are closing the gap. We can forget about Plymouth and Doncaster, they've pulled away. I'm more concerned about not blowing our playoff chances at the moment

That was fucking shit!

Devitt and Lambe are not good enough for us right now and I must say I'm especially disappointed in Devitt, got by far the most assists in the league last season for Morecambe and has got NONE for us so far. Unless we strengthen this month then we're going to drop down the league and that's a fucking fact.

We need a left back and a new forward man.

Liddle was quite good I thought.

You're right carver. We definitely need big improvements from the last month or so if we're going to avoid dropping like a lead balloon.

The performances and results have not been anywhere near good enough. We aren't putting in any overall good performances, anything we do get from games is scrappy or lucky,

We have to stop the rot but we also have to start playing football and controlling games.
New signings and the timing of the returns of Grainger and Jones from injury will make or break our promotion chances.

Over Xmas a few people suggested on this forum that the wheels were coming off your bus, and I defended you, but I do think that someone has undone the bolts and the wheel is wobbling. Each year one side always drops like a stone, and you are in danger of it being you, which surprises me.

We have been punching above our weight this season because clubs like you, Doncaster and Pompey have money to spend and have actual quality in your squad whereas we get the odd 2 or 3, but as soon as 1 of them is injured we struggle to replace them and ultimately we then struggle to keep up.

Very rarely do we get nice and easy routine wins, that's why we are falling behind so suddenly.

Every home game this season I've seen us in we've been scrappy and never looked that comfortable.

I suggest Barnet have a lot more to spend at present. We have just paid our first transfer fee for years, all of 15k. It was the first transfer fee in nine years as a Manager that Adams has been involved in.

It's crazy how much we've missed Jones and Grainger. I think everybody expected Jones to be a big miss, but not so much Grainger. We haven't replaced him, it's the only position we don't have natural cover and it's showing. I thought the decision to play Miller on the left was a bit ridiculous. Watching the defence in the opening 25 minutes you could tell they'd never played together before, no coordination. A very simple goal conceded (again).

I thought McQueen had a very poor game, looked scared to carry the ball forward and he still can't put in a good cross. Liddle, on the other hand, was very solid and showed a great range of passing. I'd like to see him in midfield, but due to our defensive frailties that looks unlikely

I'd get rid of McQueen, Wright and Asamoah. I've not seen any of them put in a reasonable performance since they joined.

I hope we bring in an actual left back ahead of Accrington.

Playing Miller at LB and McQueen (who played LB at Spurs) at RB was nowt short of comical.

Only reason I think he'd do that was to not have McQueen and Gillesphey playing next to each other, but still it was a poor selection from Curle and I'm starting to doubt McQueens attitude after that poor showing, I mean just look at the goal we conceded and how half arsed he looked to stop the cross coming in and the same goes to Gillesphey and Gillespie. Their goal was an embarrassment!
