Fucking typical. Newport were shite, but we were fucking lost without Jabo.

Curle has to take the blame, as although Jabo's injury isn't his fault, we had no threat up top when Asamosh came on.
We had no height, we won no headers when on the attack, and there was little creativity.

It's no surprise that we looked most dangerous when Raynes was sent up front for the last 10 minutes, he actually won some headers. I was calling for him or Troy to be moved into attack at half time.

Newport were time-wasting on a few occasions, but that's to be expected when they've not won yet this season. I still reckon they'll go down, though.

I think Curle will look at bringing in a target man on loan, or at least he should be.

Whilst I thought we'd lose today, it doesn't make it any less disgusting.

This team is an utter disgrace. A team that haven't scored an away goal come to Brunton park and turn us over.

If this isn't the wake up call people need to see that we're going to be in another relegation battle, then I don't know what is.

They didn't turn us over... they offered nothing, and nicked a win because we couldn't create chances. First 20 minutes we were just going forward at our own pleasure, passing them off the pitch and you thought, we're gonna win this easily. Getting in at half-time still at 0-0 was a bit disappointing, still thought we'd win but expected there to be a bit of grumbling at how we'd made it hard for ourselves. Second half we continued to pass it around well, but then just overpass it, not making chances and you started to worry... then Newport grabbed an unlikely, though not entirely unexpected goal and that gave them confidence... we finally started to push in the dying stages but it was too little too late.

I'm gutted if I'm absolutely honest, I just want Tuesday to come now, every game is a fresh chance for three points.

The people I feel really sorry for are the Orient fans, who are now going to miss their opportunity to welcome Jabo back to Brisbane Road.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I said last week that york failure was a disaster and would lead to us going on a really bad run and we'll seriously look back at that game in frustration for a long time.

We had a total and utter air of arrogance the whole week that we frankly had to do very little against either York or Newport and we could therefore take one eye off both games and focus on Liverpool and even putting in half effort still easily get points in the other 2 matches.

and what has happened..........1 point out of 6, heading into 4 very tough games and probably the start of a bad run of games which will see us drop down table, if that happens and Curle ends up sacked he will seriously regret his 'management' this week.

No complaints about today, 100% deserved to lose and Newport deserved to win, Ibere going off was a major blow, but we never at all worked hard enough to warrant winning that game....so so slow, sluggish and one-pace, the last 4 games have worryingly seen the same patten of our midfield 5 simply not working hard enough, we got away with it in other games as our delivery and play in the opposition box was good when it mattered but didn't get away with it today.

Once Ibere went off we did nothing until 2 minutes from time when our defender was whacked upfront and then we really should have scored but it would have been harsh on Newport who had been so comfortable all game to lose it.

Newport defended well, kept shape.....they look a poor outfit and will struggle or just lacked any confidence but they still stuck to their guns and to be honest only chances 2nd half until that late scramble was for them...goal was coming 10 minutes before it did and Curle should have made changes earlier but in saying that the changes did nothing really when they did.

dreadful game, I said on Friday if we lost this game i feel it will lead to Curle sacked before new year.....will have to see if correct.

I can't see Curle getting sacked, no chance.

I don't think Newport were comfortable at all, when Ibehre was on we were as comfortable as ever. I'd argue they didn't even defend well, it was just because Thompson and Brough were crap on the wings, and we were trying to launch it up to Asamoah. They offered little going forward, but probably warranted a goal.

Apparently Curle reckons Ibehre will only be out for 7-10 days. However if it's anything like our 'billionaire', he'll be out for 4 months.

Curle said that? I didn't hear it in his radio interview.... what I did hear is that apparently the powers that be haven't actually offered him a contract yet... Has the 'billionaire' maybe told them not to?

We need Wyke back now... you could see when we threw Raynes up front that the way we play... we can have Asamoah and Gillead and Osei making runs, but we need an Ibehre or a Wyke (or a Rigg?) alongside him... If I were Curle I'd have put Rigg on when Ibehre came off.

I don't know, I just seen Jon Colman said on Twitter that Curle hopes he's only out for 10 days.

Firstly I must say I really enjoyed Carlisle as a day out, and hope we get to visit again next season.

As for the game, I was fearing the worst after 20 minutes because I though Carlisle were well on top personally, but we seemed to slowly inch our way back into it once Ibehre went off, and then the goal in the second half was that little bit of fortune we've been missing (at least I think - it's been reported as Blackwood's goal but looked an OG to me).

The last few minutes were torture - just very happy to see a goal and a win at long last.

He was always going to pick up an injury - he hates playing against Orient. You'll be better off without him, because he loves us so much he basically refuses to play well against us.

FFS that is just typical of us isn't it, ah well bollocks to it I can't be arsed twining over something you should come to expect being a Carlisle fan, I hate these shitty bottom of the league matches Newport not won or scored away all season then get a smash and grab result why does this always have to happen to us? Newport are a club that shouldn't even be playing in our country!!!:mad:

I can't see us getting any higher than mid table this season unless of course we spend some money in January on quality players and get rid of the shite that is Brough and Thompson.

While i am very frustrated with the last week, I am happy for you handful of Newport fans who made that trip yesterday, they get my respect for making a 6 hour trek when in horrendous form and with little hope................sometimes that effort can be rewarded and bet it felt superb after weeks of crap.
