Thought Chesterfield started well but even though they went 1-0 up you were kind of waiting for Sheff United to score and once they did then it was only going to end one way.

Chesterfield collapsed like a pack of cards once the first went in. Like us away from home!

Poor first half from Blades, slow in thought and deed.

Much better second half, plus the difference in quality from the bench between the sides was enormous. Almost as big as Ritchie Humphries has got!

Really glad to see Clarke back and fit, he'll be starting before long.

I don't agree it was poor 1st half. We dominated the entire game if laffertys and done chances would of fell to sharp we'd of been leading at ht. It was a comfortable win against a poor team as soon as ched went off they collapsed

Thought the same, only watched on TV mind but people on social media were saying how poor we were first half...felt like they were reading more into the score line than the game, we had two clear chances that should've been buried, those two go in and I'm sure people's opinions on how we played would've been different.

Either way it's a rather redundant argument after another good win and four more goals. Can't wait to get back down to a game!

That's generally what most people do. Look at the score and say it's shit regardless of the performance, all idiots.

Agree, it seems to be the fashion that most people only focus in the scoreline.
We play shit but win, many seem satisfied and happy.
We play really well but lose or draw and many will criticise the manager/ players.

For me, you can never legislate for odd results, even the best teams will lose a game and the worse team win a game HOWEVER general performances are an indicator of where the season is heading.

And had we been leading I'd still have thought the first half was not to the standards set. We were slow moving the ball, caught in possession far too much and struggled against Evans and Ariyibi far more than they should. Think Moore had Evatt's header covered, but a second for them would have been a real problem.

Credit the second half show, pace up, moved the ball with intelligence and after a dodgy first half Duffy in particular looked good. Clarke was excellent when he came on and is like a new signing after getting over his injury. And this without Chapman, Scougall didn't get on, Lavery gets a minute or two, plenty of very good options. Much to be optimistic about.
