We really need to win this one, especially with Plymouth coming up at the weekend. Cheltenham have been down the bottom all season, but they'll be looking to widen the gap between themselves and the current bottom two.

The pitch looked bad for their last home game, so I can't see much football being played on it. I'd start Jabo and Proctor in this one, get at them from the start. Defensively, who knows. Brisley might be available despite going off yesterday with a head injury. I can't see Raynes playing though, so possibly Gillesphey and Brisley/Liddle in the centre.

I think this'll be a narrow win, hopefully keep our third spot for a little while longer.

We tend to play alright against the better teams without consistently getting results against them so it'll be interesting to see how we do. Taking our awful pitch into account, think we might sneak a point, 1-1.

Cheltenham slight favourites with the bookies at 8/5, you can get Carlisle at best price 9/5.

So those who actually think carlisle will win this might want to take up that 9/5 with 365.

The bookies aren't stupid. They don't let League position get in the way of just how poor we've been.

We're on a bit of a run, and appear to have found a settled team. That being said, we've played two poor teams to start this run.

As 99 says, we do seem to up our performances against the teams at the top, but I'm in no doubt this will be a tough game. Will snap your hand off for a draw right now.

Yes as expected our imaginary billionaire has finally been rejected by the club after 600 something days of negotiating. At least if we do crap for the remainder of the season it will hopefully spur the fans on to drive the stubborn old clown out who owns our club.

We're back to square one.

Where have you been?

as i now live in manchester and currently due to move cannot afford to watch carlisle much, i've taken up a season ticket with Curzon ashton so usually post around non-league this season.

but well that Billionairre stuff has been dragged on so long i've moved twice in manchester and had 2 different jobs in manchester and followed a different team a year......all within the rumour mill.

Raynes out. Shaun Miller still out.

Bailey making his first start for the club. Carthorse Waring starting.

Grainger back on the bench is a huge boost. Not sure I want to see risked on that potato field of a pitch tonight tho.

Wow, we sound utterly shite. Cheltenham must've had 7 or 8 good chances, compared to our one off the post. Hugely surprised Waring started ahead of Jabo, he didn't look like a professional footballer when he started the other week.

Pitch sounds like it's having an impact but that's not an excuse for such a poor performance.

What a shock. That's really surprising having watched us over the last couple of months.

Fucking shower of shite we are

honestly, this last 2 months... fucking dreadful. This team is bottom 8 standard. If the season had started at the beginning of January we'd be staring a massive relegation battle right in the face.

Sick of hearing Phillips going on about the pitch, be annoyed if Curle comes out with same as you know what to expect.

Sounded nowhere near good enough, dominated from start to finish.

Luckily our near rivals keep dropping points too, but somebody's gonna come from the pack soon.

It pisses me off when we're just beaten by sheer effort. As for Curle's interview I don't think we will hear it as Barrow's Paul Cox is being interviewed right now and he goes on for bloody ever.

Maybe when Cheltenham fans come on here and confirm that we are the worst team they've seen for many years including their season in the conference, the penny will finally drop with you as to how utter hippo shit we are.

It really does sound like their pitch was awful and Curle described it as a dump and professional football should not be played on it.

So Cheltenham fans what is your excuse for having such a shitty pitch?

The pitch isn't ideal but it's the same for both teams.

Barnet, Wycombe and Plymouth have all gone and won league games on it over the last couple of months.
