We are the underdogs and that suits us perfectly. Still wanted one of the big names though, especially Barca, I think we'd batter them.

Come away from the tie with a victory of the convincing variety.

Juve won the last time they met Real Madrid over 2 legs didn't they a few seasons ago - could happen again?

As for Liverpool v Man City - expecting a few goals once more...

My preferred scenario is well under way, Liverpool to beat City and then crash out in the next round.

they could probably beat anyone over 2 legs, but in a final they'll get dicked because that's the juve way. tactics win legs, quality wins one-off ties.

Only to Bayern, the rest we'd pummel and you know it!!

I think you could score against any of them, it's at the other end that you'll come unstuck against the elite sides.

Mourinho's rant felt very like the Benitez vs Ferguson rant. A man losing the plot somewhat. He did have some decent points (what he inherited from previous managers vs what Guardiola has and how money can't bridge that particular gap), but he can't really defend how poorly they played against Sevilla. He's equivocating on the quality of the opposition.

Liverpool V City is a fantastic tie, wouldn't surprise me if Liverpool were to pull it off.

In all honesty, over two legs I would be surprised. It would be great for football if we knocked them out though. I can't see anyone bar their own fans wanting City to go through. A chequebook manager coupled with them being little more than a PR machine for their questionable financial source.

Take away their nice looking football and everything else about them is rancid.

Do you think that you need only tactic to win two games against Real o Barca?

I understand that in the final it was defeated but I do not think that a team without quality throws out Real and Barca in two years

Nah, every fan of football as a game should have felt an element of annoyance seeing that. Even United fans and that's saying something!

Let's just celebrate our mutual joy at the United result. Saw Sevilla had 46 shots over the two legs. Ahaha... Mourinho really is a busted flush when it comes to the CL.

Alan Bennett >>>>>>>> Salah + Firmino + Mane

Would definitely concur that those three are inferior playwrights.

I don’t think it’s neccesarily an advantage to Man City having the 2nd leg at home but certainly a disadvantage to Liverpool having it away.

Think Liverpool will need to win the first leg to nil to have any chance.

Do you think that Man City at home will surely win?

I wouldn’t say it was a sure thing but I do expect City to win over two legs and win their home leg.

I think it will be tight and can see it coming down to away goals, that’s why I think it’s important for Liverpool to keep City out in the first leg.

If we can somehow win the first leg with a clean sheet we have a chance, even if its only a 1-0. A score draw or them winning and you have to say we're out.

The thing is, which is why some people have had us as outsiders for the eventual win, is that we can absolutely blow any team away when things go right for us and we get an early goal. Even if we lost at home I wouldn't put it past us to win in Manchester, even if it's unlikely. The 4-3 at Anfield flattered City, and I can see us coming away from the first leg with a hefty lead.

I don't know, I just feel rather confident. We are where we are not because we can't beat the best sides, but because we've struggled with the worst of them. But with the CL being all about beating the best sides, I think we stand a good chance. Avoiding a red card, of course.

Manchester City’s two leg victory over Liverpool will underline the fact even more so that Liverpool need a new goalkeeper and defensive midfielder.

All I know for sure is that whichever side loses will be labelled as absolute dogshit handing the victory to the opposition. We never give credit here.

i think that Man City is the favourite.. because is more square, has a more balanced defensive phase than Liverpool. And the experience of Pep at certain levels (knockout rounds in Champions League).

but.. Liverpool he has nothing to lose, he is very strong ahead and has already put Man City in serious trouble.

I think.. 40% Liverpool - 60% City
