It doesn't really matter in all honesty, it's just a friendly.
Just seems strange given we've only got two more friendlies left. The first teamers are hardly going to get any game time. Just over a half against Al-Taawoun so far.

We sold our initial allocation for Sheffield weds. Went on sale yesterday and sold out by 12 today. I think we could shift 5k easy if they up the allocation but not sure what their game is because they were a week or so late in actually confirming ticket details with villa. Good support considering price and being on sky Sunday afternoon. Taking 1300 to Bristol rovers tomorrow as well.

Be great support if you fill the end, especially at £42 and on sky. Don't expect us to sell out at those prices.

Feels a bit strange posting in a championship thread but we intend to enjoy out stint in the championship. 3 weeks until our game at hillsborough so I think we will be bringing around 5k,so should be fun.

hopefully not for too long :bg:
Thats what us, Leeds, Wolves,Forest and Wigan amongst many others thought mate. Hope for the best but prepare for a shock would be my advice.
Decent turnout from Benfica, for a friendly tonight around 400 at a guess, made some decent noise when they tried too.

How the fuck can you lump Wigan in with the rest of that lot?

Lol, it was more the fact they expected to be fighting for promotion and soon got relegated I was talking about, than size of respective clubs mate. Glad I put em in though, if only for mudhuts comedy value.
always thinking about others

wednesday gave us another 1100 tickets earlier which sold out in a few hours, then they gave us another 1400 which wont take too long to sell. 4500 overall will be making the journey, but we probably could of shifted 6k or more.

Evening all, Ey up Jose. Nice to be back...

Welcome Villa and the Cartoon Army - this 'proper' division is a hoot in everything that happens. You wont want to go back up!

it will be between us,leeds or newcastle imo. depends how well or bad those clubs are doing, although if you do well you will be up there. but yeah, there are some well supported clubs in this division now. overall leeds have the best away support in the division because they have been doing it year in year out. newcastle travel further than anyone so fair play to them.

We averaged over 2,500 last season, anything approaching our on the field success and it'll be above that, think you'll average circa 2,800-3000.

Officially sold out our allocation of 2750 for the first game at Fulham and we've now well surpassed our ST sales from last year. I'm excited.

Yep, all we got given. Perhaps there's scope for a further release but as it stands...

Surprised at that, we had 4000 there last season. Saying that I think I recall some of their fans being annoyed that the high allocations were giving the away team an advantage.
