Just went to the ticket office for Villa away only to be told they had sold out 5 mins ago...

Means we will have an allocation of 2793.

Put yourself on waiting list you'll be guaranteed to get one as you'd be 1st on it.

Brighton announced 712 of us at the AMEX but those were only people who pre-bought tickets (as stated on our twitter account on Friday).

Imagine there'll have been around 800 of us there, which is decent for us for a near 500 mile round trip.

There was 1552 Blues at QPR yesterday, I've not been to Loftus Road for years, I'll not be rushing to go back after yesterday. Totally fucking ridiculous getting into the stadium, we were at the ground for about twenty past two, three security checks and two turnstiles later got in just after KO. After the game they've closed where we come in and opened one door the complete other end of the stadium, nightmare trying to get out. God knows how 6000 Geordies got on the other week.

I'm a big fan of traditional old stadiums, not so much of a fan of being treated like a farmyard animal, won't be rushing back :lac:

Wasn't there trouble last season? If so, that's probably why although it don't excuse how you get treated. Football fans are still regarded as scum, but some are I suppose.

Confirmed, blues have cut our allocation to 2k. Going to be a scramble for tickets. Complete load of bollocks if you ask me. Wonder if we will return the favour.

Absolute ridiculous decision especially when the away end at Birmingham is quite big, it will take the shine off a little bit with only 2k in there with the atmosphere. When Celtic and Rangers play they give each other bigger allocations than the rest and it always seems to run smoothly inside the stadium with not much segregation and that is probably the most fierce derby in the world.

I think it's WMP more than anything. They can't seem to handle big games, where as other big derbies have no problem. Rangers-Celtic being a perfect example. The other season we had it cut to 1500.

Reduced away allocation, early KO, blues hiking tickets up, can't see it selling out which is bizarre but not uncommon in this fixture. It's shit that such a good game is trying to be killed off by people who couldn't organise a Piss up in a brewery. Also both clubs make it hard for fans trying to purchase tickets.

Similarly to us being given a reduced allocation at QPR because of the trouble last season, I'm under the impression the reduced Villa allocation is to do with policing and damage caused on previous visits.

I've still not made my mind up if I'm going, £50 to watch a televised early KO on a Sunday when I've just finished work on Saturday night just isn't grabbing my attention. I'd sooner save my money and do Huddersfield the week after.

I'll probably end up there but I'd put money on it being a sub 25k crowd.

The only police force worse than south Yorkshires in my opinion

It's just the standard £30 for adults it should easily sell out.
they are a funny lot the blues are. They certainly have the fans to sell out, but it's as if the Fanbase has completely lost interest. They did well last season, but still the crowds were poor. Even their own fans are saying it shocking if they don't sell out, and a lot seem to always have an excuse not to go. It's sometimes the same with us, but not on the level they have it. Be great if it was sold out because St. Andrews when full with the crowd up for it is an intimidating place.

I maintain our core fanbase is somewhere around the 18-20k, like all clubs we've got the glory boys who'll jump on board if and when we achieve anything and they soon disappear again when we revert back to shitness, I'm comfortable with that.

I'm not making excuses for what will be a dire attendance for the Villa game, as much as I say it I'll end up going as always, but I can certainly understand people not being arsed to go to a midday televised *Cat A* game.

It's your biggest match tv should be irrelevant and it's £30 not exactly over the top these days is it compared to others.

Their crowds kill the myth that brum is full of blues. It should easily sell out but it won't. It's like the city has lost interest in football, some would say it's not a footballing city anyway, although I disagree.

I do agree with VL the city in general has become quite apathetic with football in recent years, it's hard to put a finger on exactly why.

Always a hassle at Loftus Road, just one of those grounds. The Old Bill like causing a nuisance round there as well.

It isn't any better for us home fans either. Brum fans were pretty poor yesterday going by what I heard. Last year was when a QPR fan went over to the Birmingham fans and got knocked out. Would be a reduced allocation as loads of coins being chucked at our fans
