It takes 2 to make an atmosphere. Was shocked how quite the Cardiff home support was. To think this was once one of the most intimidating places to go. It's no different than any other new pop up stadium.

Totally agree bud it's just tit for tat but sadly it's us supporters who get punished for it, I know usually you bring a good following to Hillsborough so it was a shame. How we can sell out near enough a 40,000 seater stadium with 10k empty seats is an absolute joke, SYP and SAG need pressure from the club big time.

Falling over each other to come to Barnsley? At £36 a go? Cup final much? :fl:

Jokes. I doubt you'll get the bit on the side. We weren't allowed to sell it to our own supporters during the play-offs last season so I'm not all that sure SYP will let us sell it to Leeds fans. Should still be a cracking atmosphere though.

Hope has been rekindled for Leeds fans after more than a decade of hurt. Every ticket for every away game no matter the cost, the kick off time, or the distance will be chased by several fans as long as this belief remains. For the Rotherham home game Leeds had to take precautions to stop Leeds fans buying tickets in the away end because there were none left anywhere else.

700 already sold for Newcastle.

Sums up the intelligence of our fanbase.

Moan about Wednesday and Leeds' prices and day after lap up Newcastle tickets.

Newcastle ticket cost £24 and I got the train a while ago at £36, so looking at £60 if you did it early which the majority won't.

Leeds ticket was £37 and train £7 return, so £44.

Wednesday ticket £36 and £4 on a bus and I say bus because trains and trams are that rammed you don't pay, so £40 max.

Hate the excuse people don't go cos of price.

Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that you've not played at Newcastle in a generation?

No Rotherham fans are thick.

For some of the downers who support us Wednesday and Leeds away are the highlights of their life.

I'd give Leeds the East Stand instead of the normal away end when they come to us last game of the season providing police allow it (8k seats). In fact we could give them both stands (13k seats) and I reckon they'd sell it out, especially if they needed a result to confirm the playoffs. 13k Leeds fans paying £30 a go, that'd probably fund half of our playing budget for L1 next season.

We've sold 1k+ in a day for Newcastle.

Makes our followings at Wednesday at Leeds look even more embarrasing.

Neither following was embarrassing. A lot of your supporters made a choice not to give their hard-earned to the greedy, arsehole owners of Wednesday and Leeds. I half-wish we'd done the same, in fact I'd rather we'd taken none at all. Nothing will change unless a collective action forces these scumbag's hands. People paying stupid money justifies the prices set by those in charge. And I include our club in that, albeit it's a reciprocal charge for Leeds.

I suppose Leeds fans could argue that, like we're doing with them, they're only charging what they get charged everywhere. They're always going to be the highest category wherever they go. The simple answer is make a stand and don't go. Instead, you've got 5,600 desperate to part with £36 for Championship football. Nothing will change while that's the case.

New ground for most at a reasonable price ticket. I fully understand why people wouldn't go to Wednesday or leeds at £36/37 considering how poor you are doing. If you'd played at Newcastle recently you'd be taking a lot lot less there too.

l

A reciprocal charge in which only fans suffer and chairman makes money. Similar to the wednesday/wolves tickets recently , both did home offers and charge away fans full price it needs to be stopped.

At the same time, we've played em both at a time when our players needed em the most and to not go because of pricing and then they'll all fork out more for Newcastle at the prospect of a decent night out.

FWIW we charge £25 for everybody, so likes of Wednesday and Leeds fans get a good deal out of us.

I know but that's my point about it being a new ground and a pretty attractive fixture with a reasonable ticket price. If Wednesday and Leeds would of charged £24 you may of took double to both.

Atmosphere has been shit since the move to the new ground, in fact it went shit a couple of years before that. Didn't help that we went balls out to ban anyone that so much looked at the away fans mind. The intimidation factor of a trip to Cardiff has long gone. Now it's seen as a chance to watch the football and head to the city centre for a piss up afterwards. Well unless your'e from Bristol of course in which case you can't be trusted ;)

Ninian Park was the most intimidating ground going. Cups of piss flying everywhere, coins going all round the gaff and people coming up to you in the street questioning whether you were English.

Over 1500 sold for Newcastle as of today.
I am going....,for the weekend,....didn't go to rip off Hillsborough or Leeds.
Guess that makes me thick.
I'll take that TBH.

As am I but was at Leeds and Hillsborough too.

You can't seriously say Hillsborough and Leeds is a rip off and then spend more money going to Newcastle. Baffles me it really does.

You quite clearly can though because it might cost more for travel but then the extra travel costs are something you're not being ripped off for. Not quite sure why you're defending leeds and Wednesdays ticket price. Way I see it fair play to people for not paying it, it's the only way prices will ever drop but also fair play to you and the rest that still went to watch you're team despite the prices.

Nope just make you sensible pal, not everybody can afford to pay those prices at Hillsborough and Elland Road around Xmas and go to Newcastle for night /weekend all in such a short space of time.

I chose to go to Hillsborough because there was still a small chance of staying up especially if we got a win but after losing at home to Burton the season is over for us imo and decided Leeds wasn't worth of doing anymore.

Reason im doing Newcastle is because its another ground to tick off and we're stopping the night for the piss up, not really that interested in what the final score is gonna be now probably just like most of the fans heading up wont be.

It didn't stop our fans going in thousands to Wednesday and Leeds away last two seasons with very similar pricing.

The reason people haven't gone is because we're wank and are hiding behind the pricing excuse.

In the position we're in we need all the support we can get. Two Yorkshire derbies and players see no c*** there, reyt inspiration to do well.

In fairness your no different to any other club that's just football fans in general. I see what you mean with hiding behind the price but paying £36 when you're winning games and on a good run is a lot more value for money than paying £36 to basically know your gonna lose is certainly gonna put a lot off.

The players were backed early on in the season with a couple of big followings, 2500 to Villa and 3200 to Barnsley and got a real hiding in both 3-0 and 4-0 respectively where our players just gave up and wasn't arsed after we concede first goal. We've been like that most of the season so most of our players doesn't deserve the support anymore tbh they have to earn it.

Genuinely don't believe that seeing 2,000 as opposed to 200 will give a player a boost. They should want to win every game.

We buy paying through the gate and TV money which comes from fans paying to watch TV is what pays they're entire wages. I do love these chairman that make out they all lose money it's hillarious. They all became successful businessmen by wanting more money it's not in anyone's nature to just lose it and carry on that way.
