Pretty sure I read a while back that Port Vale had plans for an 80/90,000 stadium decades ago and wanted to be the northern Wembley.... Burslem

Imagine our final away figure will be almost identical to last season's with us yet to visit the likes of Blackburn, Fulham, Newcastle, Huddersfield and Leeds.

The good thing about being shit this year is that it's easy to get tickets for away games.

I suppose it depends on your definitions of areas of the country. For example, I'd imagine most up north would consider Milton Keynes and Northampton as southern, whereas they're definitely midlands from my point of view. Must admit I'd forgotten about Swindon and Bristol Rovers, and I suppose they're southern enough (albeit in the arse end of nowhere for someone in the south east) which I suppose evens it up a little bit more. Certainly better than last season, where Peterborough was our 4th closest away game, a mere 115 miles away.

1,411, not bad.

Wigan, Brentford, PNE (midweek), Blackburn and Brighton left.

If we're not already relegated Blackburn & Brighton will be big followings as they'll be massive games. Brentford will sell out, no idea on Wigan but PNE you could probably count the amount of people that'll attend on one hand.

May end up with over 1,500.

El Guapo, have you heard the news? Coaches galore tonight. Me and the Aston Villa family are very happy for you and we hope you have a great night coach counting.

So we can expect more than the 12 coaches, one double-decker and four minivans that Villa took last time...

I think that Wolves average is very good considering the season they are having.

Now I know being a Blackburn fan means there's not many teams I can mock for away attendance...

But as of yesterday Wigan had sold 1.5k for tomorrow... [emoji38]

Which famous day was that then? Thought we meant nothing to you? Lol. Not very observant then are you, (or could be illiterate) Wednesday fan posted earlier today. Fwiw sure you will be in the playoffs, if we are too I wouldn't fear playing Leeds again either over 2 games or a one off game. In all honesty thought both teams were poor (for promotion contenders) last week, we have been for a while, most Leeds and Reading fans also seem to be saying they are picking up points without performing well too. Only team in playoffs performing well and getting results seems to be Huddersfield, on current form they would start as playoff favourites, and Would be the team to avoid, that won't a mean anything by the time the playoffs come round though. (Unless they go up automatically). Looked a great following again today 4k+?

I thought ours was pretty shit to be honest but cheers anyway

Like you say if you're doing well though everyone wants to go. Look at Huddersfield, a perfect example of that... their away attendances are up 92% on last seasons figures (when they were shit), which is an incredible stat.

Everyone saying that the increase in home fans (can't argue with away) is just because we're doing well... it's because they gave out cheap season tickets like what Bradford City did. On the first game of the season vs Brentford we had 19,000 attendance and nobody knew we were going to do well then... if other teams did it they would get a large increase of home attendances

Edit: nobody stated this on this forum but just putting it out there

We would be about the middle of the average away table if our 2 best away days Leeds and Wednesday wasn't boycotted by most of our fans and thats with just 1 single point on the road all season.

Some of them averages are really poor from way bigger clubs than us imo, would to see us further up the table like them.
