What sort of allocation will we get at St Andrews for our first away game El G/Trev? We weren't given more than 2.6k in 15/16 when we sold it out and last season I think we had just shy of 2k which was our initial allocation - we could sell a big number for this one but I'd be amazed if the WMP allowed it.
Booked my train tickets today, get into Brum for 11am so will probably head to Spoons outside New Street and get a cab in, can't remember there being any pubs close to the ground last time I went?
Should be alright for 3k then.2000 is always the initial allocation then blocks of 500 available if required but Blues do Sale no return type thing so I'm led to believe so if you're unlikely to sell 2500 it'll probably be 2000, the actual maximum capacity is about 4500 I think, not many have bought that.
There's still a few places to drink nearer to the ground than the City Centre but you chance running into twats, I'd still advise most fans to taxi in from the centre.
Where's decent to drink around the ground then?
Eagle and Tun on New Canal Street. I remember it from when it was surrounded by other buildings. Now on its own a bit.
If you want a decent curry, too, you can go down to the bottom and turn right for Manzils. Old Manzil himself died a few years back but his sons run it now. It's next to Digbeth police station. Both places, btw, have a UB40 connection.
Edit: There's also the Spotted Dog down that way too. We used to go there on the way down to the Tin Can Club, but I don't remember which street it's on. There or the Irish Centre. A mate said it's still a great drinking pub.
Was in the spotted dog before the Villa game last year. Decent boozer.
We went to The Witton Arms, wasn't a great pub really but was rammed with City. Entry fee as well which is a bit cheeky. Was in the spotted dog before the Villa game last year. Decent boozer.
Brum but this was 2007.....Closer to St Andrews or Villa?

Will probably head elsewhere for Villa next year as there were loads of pubs around it and on the walk to the ground.
Didn't drink a lot at Villa as it was midweek so I went with my old man and a few of his pals. Intend to get hammered at Brum though, not worth spending the money just for the football this season as we'll probably only win a handful of away games again.Yeah there's plenty to choose from. I know we went to a couple of others after the spotty dog, don't know where like as I was fucking hammered.
I know just stating it is a great price.Every game is £24 for away fans, was the same in the previous 2 seasons.

Allocated 5,706 at PNE, priced at £24 fair play.
Wouldn't disagree with it.Reciprocal would be nice!
Did in 15/16 but only sold 4,500 for New Years Eve 3pm kick off last season. I expect them all to go.Think you'll sell em all ?
How's your Juan?£35 upper, £30 lower at Bolton which I thought was a bit steep and may not sell out with it being on tv and no trains at all.
STH allocation gone in 40 mins. 960 left for members next week out of 4,800.
Get used to it mate.£32 and £30 at Boro for everyone according to they're ticket prices
Get used to it mate.
Villa, Norwich, Hull tooI know what to expect. Only you, Leeds and maybe barnsley will be more than that though.
We tend to charge what we're charged.Villa, Norwich, Hull too
