Expected Wolves to sell out easily being top of the league, a night on the piss and no doubt 3 points, crap numbers sold so far.
Definitely, or atleast come close to selling out. They are a pretty big club with a large fanbase. Not a patch on yourselves who would of taken thousands if the fixture was reversed. Never rated them much anyway.

We managed 1,100 to you at an extrorionate price so I'm absolutely fucking certain we'd have had at least 400 more for a bigger game, at a ground we haven't played at for three seasons and at more reasonable prices. Without doubt.

I just dont think so at all but we will never know. And if people are shelling out the expense of going from bristol to Sheffield to watch football the extra £10 in ticket price Doesn't play too much of a part, you would of had the same if not less with it being nearer xmas as you did at hillsborough imo.

All hypothetical, shame we won't find out. Paying the price of possible success this season, it'll be at least a dozen times on Sky this season if we stay up there. Already been on twice and scheduled for three more.

Hardly surprising when its £33 on sky on a Friday night just before christmas with a packed fixture list coming up. We'll still have close to 2k there I should think, we were never going to get near selling out 3.5k.

We've had 5 so far after tommorrow with another 2 scheduled , never made no odds to me I can work when I want it only pissed me off if it affected trains or was early kick offs but it doesn't half cause people issues but that's the way it is unfortunately. I'd be doing a night in sheff as a bristol city fan and vice versa if it was In bristol but obviously not everyone can do that as well.

I get that it's expensive, on tv etc. As I've stated I genuinely think wolves are a big club and I know how big your support is,plus the best wolves team in decades and the overall optimism at your club, which surprises me with the numbers going.

Why only 700 to Hull at ten bob then?

Because it's Hull and not Sheffield probably.

I was happy to take a sick day but various bottlejobs such as Aaron-Bcfc weren't up for it

Shouldn't matter where it is when you're on the form you are

That said I'm in Hull this weekend for a bit, I'm concerned.

It shouldn't and that's my mentality but people pick and choose away games, Hull is hardly the most appealing, Sheffield was a much better city to drink in but I enjoyed the Hull game more.

Surprised you're not going Norwich, not getting to as many aways anymore?

Picking and choosing, doing next three after but swerving ones I don't fancy, plus it's the missus's birthday Saturday, I value my ballsack too much, off to Bruges on the ferry, cheaper than Norwich would you believe.

May as well watch the 0-0 draw on tv

Must admit I'm also surprised that you won't be selling out at least the top tier.
Thought with your form, the followings you have been taking this season and the guaranteed 3 points you would still bring over 3k even though its on Tv and Friday night.
Suppose it goes to show the difference between the "big" clubs and the "very big" clubs Geordies, Villa and Leeds would all sell out the full 4.5k in a similar situation
Thought your away average might get near to challenging ours for 3rd spot come the end of the season, on this showing (if less than 2k) you definitely won't.

I reckon if the game was a month earlier and not round christmas we would have sold out the top tier even on a Friday night.

Our away average will be right up there at the end of the year, this will only be the 3rd game we haven't sold out (Hull and Norwich on Tuesday nights the others) and we've only had one really big allocation so far. Still got the likes of Bristol, Barnsley, Bolton and Preston where we will get and sell big allocations.

Bang on. You have Leeds, villa, Wednesday and Sunderland, then there is a big gap to the rest.

Will you sell out at those places though?

I'll be impressed if you sell the 4,600 at our place. 888 last season (albeit on a Tuesday night) after 8,000 saw you win at Liverpool was poor.

If it’s not a sell out it wont be far off. Yeah our following was poor last season as it was for most the season. We’re one of a number of clubs who’s away support will match anyone’s when we are good but fairly average when not (and when circumstances aren’t great eg sheff wed next week).

Fair enough. You've sold out up here before tbf so wouldn't be surprised.

Think derby have shifted over 3,000 for our game tomorrow, usual solid support from them at Oakwell.

One of the most fickle definitely.

Their is only Leeds and Wednesday who can say they travel in numbers regardless of form, even you were travelling pretty shit when you went down and if you would of had the same last 15 years as those too who knows what would happen to you're support. Leeds are a huge club so it's expected with them but I'll hold my hands up Wednesday's is the best by a distance compared to similar sized clubs such as wolves, forest, derby, us.

We were very hit and miss during our last 4 or 5 years in the prem, but our relegation season we were decent. We cannot compete with Leeds, but I'd say we are similar to Wednesday. Who knows what our support would be like, but have Wednesday ever travelled in the numbers we did last season when we averaged over 3k? Have they ever averaged 3k or more since down in the lower leagues? Personally I think their support is brilliant, especially as I see ourselves and Leeds as bigger clubs with larger fanbases.

You are a much bigger club than Wednesday so naturally will have bigger numbers. No they haven't and I doubt they ever would be able too. You have to pretty much sell full allocations everywhere to do it.

I'd say we did in 90/91 but that was helped by success. (7K at Ipswich, 5K Leicester, 8K at Barnsley etc)

In recent terms no, best is around 2,600 that said its hardly like we are visiting new grounds unlike Villa were last year.

Our average will drop over the next four despite three sell outs.

Looking through you're fixtures you've only got barnsley left where you will take more than you're current average. Although you will probably sell out every one other than bristol city and maybe Boro and Leeds.
