Getting up there lunchtime ish so can work our way in from the centre, but I've never been to Manchester centre before from memory so don't really know what I'm doing.

Northern quarter, plenty of boozers. Head for tib st a couple of good shitholes on there, it's about a 25 min walk to city's ground from there.

Aye, can't go wrong with Northern Quarter, plenty there, enough to be getting on with just down Oldham Street.

Personally for day time drinking i'd head to Oxford Road, as for one its cheaper and its less littered with mincey cocktail bars but its much more spread out than Northern Quarter. Can have a very decent pub crawl down Deansgate too.

Can see Deansgate being a bit difficult for a group of lads today pal, I do like the little square near Printworks to start mind.

Yeah, fair point.

The Joseph Holt pub next to the Mitre does their own lager, one standard and one Stella strength, both lovely.

Those 350 need a slap. You don’t get chance to stand much in the championship- and 350 choose to sit down....
Perhaps it’s the gentrification of London with The new age of man at football....

Nothing to do with London. You don't see West Ham, Arsenal, Millwall etc doing it.

Those 350 are just pricks.

586 sold for our trip to Cardiff so far, can't see it getting much higher than 600.

Coach leaves at midnight which seems extremely early but who am I to argue.

Anything around 600 is very good considering the coaches set off at bloody midnight.

799 sold as of today, shows how clued up I am about the willingness among supporters.

Still not entirely sure why we are leaving that early but I think it's easier to get people onboard at that time than the 2AM some other buses are leaving at. Just means the service stations of the Midlands will be a bit busier in the wee hours of Saturday. What a game for Sky to pick, it'll be an awful watch too.

Very loud you were too. Quite easy to take large numbers with daytrippers and stuff and it be quiet.

Good support from the mackems considering
aye, I must admit I thought it'd be lots of "you're in my seat" sit down wankers but it was anything but.

Every single one of ours in attendance was a season ticket holder or a member with previous booking history, the tickets never even reached members without a booking history hence didn't reach general sale. Unless someone gave away their booking privileges, there were no day trippers in our end. I know a few who went in the home stands but they would have, understandably, been quiet.
All those in our end were caught up in giving our boys everything we could give and it made for a belting atmosphere. All I know is that I had no voice at all yesterday and am on the fan cam with a few mates (all 50+) giving it some! :ffs:

We're happy to have him Southey! A local lad who made an absolute fortune and he's investing in us.
Very good chairman and businessman, advised plenty of clients to use HL for their portfolios.

Talks some bollocks though.

I'm not a day tripper, but didn't renew my season ticket and not a member at the moment, luckily someone from OTIB helped me get a ticket.
Been picking and choosing games this season down to my budget, but seeing us in a cup semi final was too good to miss.
Next game for me is the second leg and then Sunderland at home.

Got home from Manchester and had a thumping headache all of Wednesday, and it wasn't a hangover as I didn't drink!
