I was talking to my contracts manager on Friday, about the game Friday night. He's born and bred staffs, but his dad and that are from Sheffield originally. His old man is Wednesday, and his uncle is a blades fan. His uncle ran "The Gate" pub for a bit, or so he said. He said the one day he was working a shift in a blades top, and the Wednesday lads in there ripped it off his back. Just wondered if any of you lot knew him.

Our media officer doesn't have Norwich's figure yet which is absolutely bizarre Walkley. He has our figure at Watford last week which was 1,510... not that it's any use.

Don't worry I've found it myself. 1,217 Norwich, not far off with my estimate then.

Less than 300 tickets remaining for our replay at Swansea out of a 2000 allocation.

Don't forget those that get in free, 2 were getting in on one ticket, benefit of having unmanned turnstiles. :brill: I've asked one of mates who follows dark side of city and he said he's seen it happen on kop close to kick off a few times.

And you actually believe that urban myth? It’s a wind up, an in joke that we always tell Wednesday fans.
Next you’ll be saying that everyone buys kids season tickets to get in cheap.

Wednesday fans just find it hard to accept that the Blades have higher gates this season.
I’ve heard Wednesday fans actually say average gates no longer matter, it’s now all about revenue.

This century when both clubs are in the same division gates are always very similar, so it doesn’t surprise me that with SW charging high prices then United will now be better supported. It will be the same next season too no doubt as I expect Wednesdays gates to reduce, know quite a few that won’t be renewing their season tickets. Wednesday do have excellent away support but home numbers have rarely been anything special.
Wednesday couldn’t even sell out the home areas in the 1st Steel City Derby, quite a few empty seats in that bottom tier, which didn’t look good.

Also bear in mind that this season our away end at Bramall Lane is restricted to 2,200 away fans
where as away teams at Hillsboro can bring much more, for example Leeds took over 4K to Hillsboro this season and the crowd was only 27,900.
We play Leeds in a few weeks, it’s also on Sky, will be only 2,200 Leeds fans but they’ll be more for that game at BL this what there was at Hillsboro.

And finally to to be fair to the Barnsley fan in the earlier post I thought the pig joke was quite funny.

Go and troll elsewhere Lance.....
He already does, on league 2 match thread every time we have a game telling us how much he hates us before getting the same silence back that he gets every time.
Maybe all those beatings him and his 'boyz' get every week has mashed up his brain?

Here is Lance's latest poetry offering from Saturday, hardly fucking Oscar Wilde though unfortunately: :2thumb:
If I had the wings of a sparrow and the arse Of a crow, I’d fly over Blundell Park Grimsby and shit on the bastards below. We hate Codheads
