Apparently we've sold 2800 for QPR on Saturday. Not sure how accurate that is. The first 1700 definitely went anyway and we got given another 1300.

Good effort that. I've been to Leeds loads of times, but I don't think Man Utd fans get an easy time there.
Fair enough, and yeah but you'd expect that given the rivalry. Same with us for Rovers, Wednesday for United and you for Blues, but when Ipswich and Wigan are in town none of them will feel remotely intimidated or be impressed by the atmosphere.

You're right. Football has changed, but a few of the older lads on here will tell you it was different in the 80s, and parts of the 90s.

I can only vouch for the 90s but it was moody back then, especially up North. Remember going up to Wigan at their old ground in the late 90s and you wouldn't put a word out of place round there - back in those days the Old Bill would let you get on with it, none of this hiding behind your phone lark nowadays.

£40 for the neutral end at Fulham, or £45 on the day :bl: Our allocation is 3k, but loads have already bought in the neutral end. I was looking at their prices overall, and they are so expensive. They must be the most expensive in the league. Anyway providing it doesn't get moved to a midweek for some reason, then I'll get myself down there this season.

Yeah it seems a bit like that tbf. Been up there a few times with villa, and also to watch the rugby league(I'm not a Wigan warriors fan)

was the same for us this season. Loads bought in the neutral end as word got out that the neutral tickets were cheaper than in the away end but that turned out to be nonsense. Not sure why Fulham have decided to charge extortionate prices all of a sudden.

1k tickets remain for villa blues. Still over 3 weeks until game, and no general sale.

Yeah agree, I live Rovers side of town anyway so know as many Gasheads as I do City and it's always a laugh.

See I despise Cardiff just as much as the blue few. Probably more recently due to not playing Rovers for about 20 years!

Cardiff, Gas and Swindon for me.

I have no dislike for any other football club than Wednesday apart from Celtic but that ain't football reasons, so moving on I wish all the other local teams well.

You are kidding right, their lads never turned out when we came to town, and when they were spotted the moved faster than Bolt. You have to be talking about somewhere else lad. THeir rugby lads were different kettle of fish, but the football ones weren't even worth a mention

The overall pub scene seems pretty rough.

All over the ground is ridiculous.

I checked for Forest and they are £15-30 so they must have a grading. I am sure I got my away ticket there last year for £25.

In general, they are cheaper than QPR. I got a restricted view seat in an pretty empty part of the stadium for £33 including booking fee. We are a proper rip off.

I got my restricted view (like bollocks am I gonna sit there though) QPR ticket for a tenner :cool1: But they only offered 210 of those silver tickets and they sold out on the day they were released, every other ticket is £33, going up to £38 On the day. Ridiculous pricing.

My Fulham ticket cost £25 so they're clearly (like many clubs) just exploiting the big lads, knowing they can get away with it because Villa will take loads regardless.

We should have 1500 or so at Villa tomorrow, not bad considering 1 win in 13 and about 4 goals scored in that time.

Wigan definitely had a decent little mob late 90's / early 00's

Obviously not the numbers of Bolton, Burnley or even Oldham back then but, if you were a fan of a modestly supported club with a handful of lads out looking for it.....Wigan were always available and willing.

I've seen it with my own eyes a few times.

You'd be surprised how many people I've spoken to over the years who've mentioned Wigan as being game.

I was really referring to the place being an absolute dosshole. They were a few pubs near Springfield Park which wouldn't have looked out of place in Gaza - more a sign of the times.

As PrestonCha says, they had a good little mob about - nothing major, but they brought good numbers down to the Madejski for the play-offs in 2001.
