Aye like Watford .... numbers inside the ground aren't what are given out officially, read the other week that up to 3k absent at Vicarage Road, in 20k stadium in the PL
It happens at most places, I think. Celtic the other season without rangers in the league, were announcing 48k gates, but it turns out there was only 26k there some games.

For anyone interested you ought to have a read of the "Cardiff home end" thread on OTIB. Seems hundreds have bought tickets in there already and there's an ongoing row with a copper on there who polices football.

Regarding Wolves' and home sell outs, there are restricted view seats in the North Bank upper quadrant which we don't sell, even if the club announces it as a sell out. Seems like the architects didn't have this in mind when they built it, either that or they expected to redbuild the Steve Bull stand a year later so we'd have a corner.

Still I think our home numbers have been fantastic this year. Due to sell 5600 for PNE in 2 weeks time, 4k for Fulham after that and no doubt a sell out away to Villa (in the away end at least). Will be interested to see our final figures considering all the shit we get.

Your final figures will be good COS YOU ARE PISSING THE LEAGUE.

When the teams good you turn out, when you're shit you hide at home.

That's the case for nearly everyone to be fair. Put Birmingham, Forest, yourselves, etc top of the league and it would mean sellouts for every game, or very close to it imo. We have our fair share of glory hunters I agree (we even have that shitty temporary corner stand to accomodate them in the Prem) but our crowds were still respectable even when we were shit.

You will be close to us regarding away numbers I would of thought, and so you should be. Your game at ours will be around 40k mate. Your support has been good, but just with the odd piss poor following.

I can't argue with those numbers.

We averaged around 20k at home last season and about 1.5k away, which would probably put us slap bang in the middle of both your tables. Our fan base is known to be very fickle though, and has always fluctuated based on success. If we ever went to be a top 4 club (I know that will never happen) we could get 40k home fans with ease I think. If we go through the divisions like we did in the 80's then we would probably average 10k if we're lucky.

Our home crowds are average for some games considering how well we are doing. If we were doing this well last season, we would have averaged around 35-36k, imo. Our away support is still good, but no better than last season when we were dog shit.

75% of clubs in this league would be selling out away allocations most games in your league position.

Burton and Reading definitely wouldn't and Cardiff, Brentford and Ipswich would struggle, rest would for Saturday games.

Hull, barnsley, Preston, qpr, millwall, fulham, bolton ,bristol city all definitely wouldn't do along with the ones you said so over half the league. Terrible statement you've just come out with that one.

What Saturday away games have we not sold out bar Ipswich? Even that was a very respectable 1900.

Just like anyone's does but claiming ours do more so than others just isn't true. Our crowds held up much better during our double than Sunderland's have for example.

Only 5 of our 15 away games have been Saturday 3pm games. Derby was too on nyd. Infact only 7 have been at home too and none scheduled until March home or away.

How many of your Saturday 3pm's did you sell out last season? If you were in Wolves position you wouldn't be selling out games at ours or Reading, or the full allocation at Cardiff if you got it either.

14 out of 16. Millwall and southend the ones that didn't. At what point did I say we would do, he said 75% of teams would sell out most games as wolves have done in their position, so i mentioned every team that wouldn't sell out most games regardless of their position.

You didn't list yourselves in the clubs.

That's because we would sell out most games for fucks sake. Hence the reason we are 6th in the away support table just over 100 odd average behind wolves. Don't bother replying you're beyond boring.

Got me intrigued this, had a look, we only had 12 Saturday 3pm away games. Ridiculous really. Sold out 8 of them for what it’s worth.

I agree with you by the way, we wouldn’t sell out at a lot places if we were in Wolves position. We’d probably end up averaging around 2k-2.5k but we wouldn’t be taking 4-5 thousand down south to places, especially before February/March. I doubt many would in this league, like you say. Maybe a handful.

Yours was good last year, 1st year in league one in a long time though as well helps, look at Blackburn too this season. I agree you would be touching 2k ish if you were top.

I think in Wolves position, we actually wouldn't be far from selling out away allocations
