I get that. Just an observation that every away ground we pay A+ ticket prices as Leeds (and Wednesday and Villa most likely) are seen as a draw for attendances. Over a season it prob amounts to £150 more than a Brentford/Rotherham away fan pays.

Why would any club charge less when they know your fans would be daft enough to sell them at any price? The difference at Elland Road is very few sell the lot at £39, if you lowered them to say £30 as an example for clubs like Brentford and Rotherham you'd get more fans travel and probably end up making more money.

As JJH says, unfortunately Leeds fans get punished for their loyalty to their club. My club has a hard-core 200 or so who will go to every single game rain or shine, no matter where it is or the ticket prices. Leeds have probably 2,000 or more plus anyone else that fancies going, meaning they're guaranteed to sell out virtually everywhere, and other clubs know this.

Hard to sympathise much though when it costs away fans so much at Elland Road.

£39 for Leeds fans at Hillsborough, Friday night live on sky and will probably still sell out.

Allocation will most likely be limited to 3,000 in upper tier though. :bg:

Leeds will sell out everywhere this season. I can't see them having that almighty fall like they did last season.

Stoke have given us 3,500ish at £25 a pop for a Saturday 3pm :2thumb: they’ll definitely go.

Question, is it still a pain in the arse getting the train to Stoke? I used to go by car and have a few beers before getting to the ground but fancy a good day out and this jumps off the page..

Direct train from Brum takes under 50 minutes. £18.40 off peak return.

Aye would never have thought Stoke would be difficult from Brum, we have to change at Derby or Stockport mind.

Also £18.40 for a 45 mile trip isnt too bad for Britain.

Piss easy for me. Train from Stafford to Stoke which takes 20 mins. Had some bad luck at Stoke over the years.

Yeah, apologies I didn’t mean the actual train journey, I meant the reception when you arrive, I seem to remember we were met with a wall of police that took us on about an hour long walk to the ground, and if you were to slip the cordon there were very few pubs for away fans..

Talking of going to Stoke over the years, I was there in the late 90s when we beat them 7-0, the year their brand new ground was opened iirc, what a mental day, they were not happy bunnies and proceeded to storm the pitch, smash their way into the directors box, and rip up a load of seats, all under a chorus of 4000 piss taking Brummies!!!:lol::wub: Great days!!

I seem to remember them having quite a bit of trouble when the Brit opened. A few games where it's kicked off on a large scale. You don't normally get that when teams move to a soulless bowl. It's shit around the ground for drinking.

My old man went to Stoke’s old ground it was either 89/90 or 90/91 near the end of the season with both of us going for promotion to the 2nd tier and he told me the ref blew early because he shit himself with all the crowd trouble and our fans got kept in the ground for 45 minutes because the Stoke fans were waiting outside en masse with baseball bats. :box:
My Dad was game as fuck back then too so if they’d let him out he’d have probably had a go and ended up getting his head caved in so it’s a good job they got kept back!

Yeah I’ve never been to Brum but been to Wolves twice and their fans weren’t the friendliest after the one when we beat em 1-0.

QPR just rip everyone off as they charge the opposite end the same for home fans.

3550 sold for Blackburn. Will probably be around 3800 by the time Saturday arrives.

As long as you don't act like petulant c*** you can have it.
Seriously though - what're the chances of that? If Wednesday took 5k to Leeds on a friday night it'd all go off, a lot of them will have had a day off work and have had a day drinking, it's bound to happen. Cardiff away for us the other year only allocated 2k and it kicked off big time, won't ever be allowed to happen again which is why I'm amazed SYP have allowed the game to be a Friday night. I wasn't aware the police could overrule Sky, but last season Sky put our game with Cardiff at home on a Friday night and A&S police were having none of it. Moved to a Saturday lunchtime.

If they can handle a Sheffield derby on a Friday I'm sure Leeds is fine.

With 2,000 away fans not 5,000. It's a recipe for disaster.

Sheffield United involved in trouble? Colour me shocked.
