Not remotely pretentious, the English language is being destroyed by peoples inability to think, kids are dumbing down and education standards are seemingly lower than a snakes belly.

.
Standards are dropping to shocking levels, especially in certain parts of the country. Technology is killing kids brains too.

It is, kids and adults no longer have to be able to spell correctly or have basic arithmetic as they can use predictive text and their phones.

Your grandson probably suspects you are a knobhead don't let him add the word illiterate to the front of the that, he'd have even less respect for you.
Don't know why I'm bothering cus (yes i know) I really ain't (again) got time for you, but here goes.
1. You're probably a decent person in real life but on here you don't half come across a sanctimonious knob.
2. You certainly come across as pretentious and your assumptious comment about my "Grandson" only further adds to that.
3. I don't have a Grandson
4. If I did he certainly wouldn’t think I was a knob head.
5. He would have been brought up to have respect for people and certainly not to judge people he had never met.
6. He would find people who like to think they're clever and better than others knob heads.
8. I'm quite able to think, read, write and do arithmetic, I do all these whilst at work, granted maybe I become lazy whilst on a less important football forum.
9. Some people are less articulate than others, that's life, doesn't make them any less of a person, some genuinely find writing difficult, being picked up about it (other than by their relations and teachers) really won't help.
10. I agree education standards are low and seeing particularly teens to 30 year olds who can't do simple subtractions to work out people's change is frightening.

Yes, before you or anyone else start I deliberately missed no7, just to see if they read to the end or are just eager to pick up on it.

Anyway that's all off thread, back to the business of away numbers which you're admittedly very good at.

Sorry does that say "front of the that" Wow, just shows we're all prone to mistakes or illiterate?

How much do clubs hget for tv money, does anyone know? Premier League get a shit load but with it being on the red button now I would presume that we all get a decent wedge of TV money now?

Millwall last night were pretty quiet, I stood near their fans and surprised me with how quiet they were.

100k per home game, and 10k per away game.

Sorry I meant the start of the season. So every club gets 5 million or something. The Prem every club gets what, 60 million? Just wanted to know what we get.

Not too bad then, losing a couple of thousand off usual attendance that clubs get at the weekend is easily covered.
Not sure how the red button works with finances. For example, Stoke would have got 100k the other night, because it was the featured game. We had Rotherham on the red button. Surely sky have to pay something to make up for a potential dip in attendance? The bigger clubs will mostly have their away games shown instead of home games for obvious reasons.

1,600 sold for Stoke on Saturday. Off sale at 3pm tomorrow with no sales on the day so don’t expect much more than that.

All I’ve took from this is that you’ve joined this forum to call your attendances shit without being banned... am I right?

Not far off! I don't want to call them shit, but I don't want to call a 25-27k attendance when we're top "amazing" either. Aside from all the bickering and angst about why people post, this is a fairly objective and level-headed sub-forum. I've read all 490 pages!

I got a D in English.

I didn't revise, 'cus I'm a fucking sick guy.
I got an E. The teacher didn’t want to put me through the exam, because he said I’d fail. Had my gran go up and give the head teacher an earful. Then I had it in the ear off my gran, saying make sure you pass, don’t let the bastards beat you.

That red button is killing it.

Our support will be crap tomorrow, maybe 500. The red button / sky has a massive influence on it TBH, especially given the distance on a Friday plus the nightmare that is the M6. I was supposed to be in Manc land tomorrow so was planning on going but have headed South today so bugger that!!
The red button is bound to have a negative effect on everyones travelling support, especially early in the season.
